Kikishiru listens to the birds around you and helps you learn their names. On a walk, outside a window, on a park bench—when you wonder “what bird is that?”, open the app and just wait. For a call that’s close and clear, it suggests a name within seconds, honestly, at one of three levels: Confident, Maybe, or Not sure. Nothing special to do. No need to aim or fuss—just wait for a bird to call clearly. Kikishiru is made for the birds of Japan—not a little of every bird in the world, but the ones you actually hear here. ■ Hear it, and know it ・Identify calls on the spot. You can also identify birds from a recording or a video from a trip. ・Recent calls stay for a few days; the ones you keep live on in “My Field Guide.” Species by species, a photo and a short note help you learn each name. ・When calls are too alike to be sure, it won’t force an answer—it lines up the likeliest candidates, honestly. ■ From your wrist, with Apple Watch ・Listen and get a name on Apple Watch alone—no need to take out your iPhone—learning names as you walk.
