Desco is on Instagram: what’s new, how to use it, and your ideas. Find it in Settings → “Get in touch” → “Follow us on Instagram”.

Desco 2.0 has a new face. The week is a single sheet with the whole family in columns: write by tapping a cell, and with “Select” pick several at once to copy or move them. “Generate” suggests the week right in the sheet: tap what you like to confirm it, “Generate” changes the rest and “Save” writes what you confirmed. The shopping list goes by aisle, with “From the plan” and “In the shop”, and the recipe book filters by what’s in the dish.

A meal can now have several dishes, each with its own recipe: tap the meal, then “Add a dish”, up to five, and the shopping list includes them all. “Generate the week” suggests meals right in the calendar, person by person: tap the ones you like to lock them and press “Generate” to change the rest, as often as you like. Nothing is saved until you press “Save”. If you share the calendar, ask the others to update Desco: an old version only shows the first dish.

On the shopping list, tapping an item didn't work on a phone: the slightest wobble of your finger was read as a scroll, so nothing got ticked off. Now a tap marks the item as picked up, and a long press opens the details even when your hand isn't perfectly still. Scrolling no longer opens the details by mistake. From the calendar a recipe is two taps away, and it shows the icon you picked for it.

Nothing changes inside the app compared with 1.3.1: this version only updates how Desco is found on the App Store, language by language. Coming from an older version? You'll find “Here's your week” with meals you can hold in place, the balance adjustable with − and +, and meals you can move from one slot to another with “Swap” and “Replace”.

“Here’s your week” becomes a workbench: hold a meal to keep it and “Regenerate” only changes the rest; adjust the balance with − and +; pick a meal up and put it down where you want, choosing between “Swap” and “Replace”. The plan now counts frequencies per meal, not per serving: with more people at home, or on a week already started, the fish, pulses and meat balance finally adds up. Onboarding rebuilt around the shared calendar and the single shop.

New: “Generate the week” fills lunch and dinner for seven days from your own Recipes. It shows you the plan before writing anything, and you can regenerate as often as you like: choices keep an eye on fish, pulses and meat, and on your country’s kitchen. “Method” is now editable step by step, “What the icon does” explains why the category shapes the week, and Settings now has “Get in touch”.

Ready-made dishes in your language: dozens of everyday recipes are already in your list, chosen for your country’s kitchen. Add one to the plan with a tap. And shopping now has a list view as well.

New: “What’s to eat”. At breakfast, lunch and dinner your phone tells you what’s planned — and if the slot is empty, it nudges you to plan. Turn it on in Settings and pick a time for each meal. Under the hood, stronger protections.

Fixes and refinements. When you accept an invite, you now land straight in the shared calendar — no need to reopen the app. Saving and loading feel smoother, with a new waiting animation. Plus various small fixes throughout.

Invites made simple: the link you share now opens straight in the app. Join a calendar with a code and switch between calendars with a tap. We've also tidied up settings.
