More accurate ride window on rainy days Until now, an hour could end up in the recommended ride window even when the chance of rain was high. From now on, such hours are left out of the ride window — tailored to your rider profile. Score and recommendation refined further If there is no recommended ride window for a day, the score now follows this more closely: more accurate recommendations at every score. Late-evening situations If late in the evening we no longer recommend setting off because of darkness, we have made the explanation more accurate. In night mode, if there is no recommended hour left before midnight, we tell you: "No time left for a ride today. Check our recommendation for tomorrow." Clearer, easier-to-follow explanations If a thunderstorm or rain arrives before the end of the ride window, we now state the reasons more precisely. If there is no ride window for a day and fog is also expected, we tell you that too. Subscription As a subscriber, the subscription information screen no longer offers you the purchase again. You can switch from a monthly to a yearly subscription with one tap, and the switch takes effect immediately. Language fixes We corrected the form of address in Spanish, Italian, Romanian, Polish and Dutch, and refined the wording in several languages. Accessibility and small fixes The Back button is easier to tap, and the screen reader (VoiceOver) reads the buttons correctly in all 13 languages. Clearer view on the "Nearby stops & help" card On this card the toilet icon overlapped the tile frame on some devices and was cut off. We have fixed it: every category is now fully visible. We now explain hazy, reduced-visibility conditions too Until now, hazy air and reduced visibility already lowered the score — but we did not tell you. Widget on the Home Screen and on the Lock Screen. You no longer need to open the app to see the day's riding window and score. The widget shows today's score, the recommendation and the recommended departure window — in small and medium size, and on the Lock Screen as well. In the larger size the location, the feels-like range, the radius and the rider profile can also be read. Fog and its types are now taken into account in the score, in the riding window and in our recommendations. Until now fog was not weighted strongly enough in the score. From now on we take it into account and apply its effect to our recommendations; in certain cases we do not recommend setting off because of fog, and we always explain why to our users. Emergency call with a single tap — fast help if something goes wrong. If something happens, you do not have to search for the right number. The app offers the emergency number for your current location, and it can be dialled with one tap. Five new categories on the "Nearby stops & help" card. Toilets, cafés, restaurants, snack bars and rest areas have been added. On a longer ride you can now find these with a single tap as well. Windshield in the motorcycle profile You can specify how much wind protection your motorcycle offers. The clothing and hydration advice adjusts accordingly: behind a windshield a rider cools down differently and gets hot differently. More accurate location and riding window The refresh button now determines your location again as well. The search for the recommended riding window has also been refined: it now finds a usable period where previously we decided on the basis of the whole day only. New status indicator in the app header, in the ochre bar At a glance you can see where you stand with the pre-ride check: a small round indicator light appears, and its colour together with the number beside it shows your current condition. If you'd rather not be asked every time With a single switch you can declare, at your own responsibility, that you only ride when you are in proper condition. From then on we won't ask again. What awaits you after the riding window If the recommended riding window ends for a real reason — rain, thunderstorms, a drop in temperature or nightfall — we now tell you that too. What's new in version 1.1.2: From now on we present all information of this kind in the units that belong to your device's language setting. Temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit, distance and speed in kilometres or miles — by default following your device setting, and you can change it at any time in Settings to suit you. Also in this update: - More accurate timing: the recommended ride window now always adapts more closely to the actual time. - We refined some wording in Help and About.
