Know who to call. Know what to quote.
Margin keeps the offers, prices, promises and people behind your trades in one place. Built for traders in meat, produce and other physical commodities, it helps you keep a deal moving between calls.
CAPTURE AS YOU GO
Speak a note or type a line after a call. Add a photo, screenshot or PDF when the details are in a price list instead. Margin pulls out the product, quantity, price, timing and people, then shows you a proposal to review before anything is saved. If you change your mind, undo it.
SEE WHAT NEEDS YOU TODAY
Your hottest deals, suggested calls and today's tasks are ready when you open the app. Open a deal to see what was offered, what the buyer needs, the prices you've heard and what still needs confirming.
MAKE THE NEXT CALL COUNT
Start a suggested call with the person's profile and the deal in view. Capture what you learn as you go. When it's time to follow up, Margin can draft a message in your counterparty's language and show you a plain-English readback. You choose what to copy and send from your own apps. Margin never sends it for you.
ASK YOUR MEMORY
“Who is offering pork bellies?” “What did they charge last month?” Margin answers from what you've captured and cites the original notes, photos or calls, so you can check the source.
KEEP THE WEEK MOVING
See what's loading now, what's coming next week, which deals are parked and what still needs review.
WORKS WITH MARGIN FOR MAC
Capture on your iPhone and pick up at your desk. Your deals, contacts and notes stay in sync.
Every fact has a source. Margin proposes; you approve. Your data belongs to you, and you can export or erase it at any time.
more • Scan a business card straight from an empty chat.
• Colleagues' prices open as one page from the chat, the same page a deal shows.
• "Offer this" on a list of buyers now opens the deal on its buyers, with Offer on each row.
• Talk: a correction no longer saves the note before you say yes, and a question Margin asks stays in the chat.
• Corrections that name another company land on the right side of the deal.
• The chat moves up with the keyboard, so a long message no longer covers the last lines.
• Photos and PDFs on deals, companies and chat cards keep showing after an hour.
• A short server outage no longer loses the chat you were keeping.
• Deal titles read the deal's direction: "Asking Steinemann — buyer not on the deal".
• Fixes for reminders, tasks and invitations.
1.5.8 12h ago
* A new empty chat. Margin's pixel bull stands above the first line with two questions to start from. It also waits beside the line while Margin is working, and greets you on sign-in.
* Every chat opens empty. The rows of the day that opened the first chat are gone: your deals and tasks for the day are in Today.
* What Margin saved stands in a frame. "Deal created", "Price list saved" and "Task created" are set apart from the talk, with the way to open what was made, and they keep their facts as the chat moves on.
* Tasks from colleagues. A task a colleague gave you stands first in Tasks under "From colleagues", with their face, their name and how long ago it was given.
* Who on your team can supply a deal. The page reads by price, three lines a person, with what cannot fill the deal set aside. "Ask" beside a name asks them if it is available, and says what you are looking for.
* Saved price lists. Margin asks who a list is from once, under its receipt, and the answer stays in the chat.
* Talk. A spoken "yes" closes the readback it answers, and a spoken correction replaces the one it corrects. A save is written once, and a correction no longer makes the same deal twice.
1.5.7 3d ago
* Reminders on tasks. Give a task an hour and Margin reminds you on your phone at that hour. After a to-do saved with no date, Margin asks "When should I remind you?": pick "In 1 hour" or "Tomorrow 09:00", or say a time. It asks in Talk and WhatsApp too. From the reminder you can mark the task done or put it off, and a snoozed task reminds you when it comes back.
* Answers start from what you have. A question that names a company, a person or a day ("the price list from Mara from yesterday") gets that record. Your own deals, prices, tasks and files come first; what your team, the registry and MeatBorsa add comes after, each under its own name.
* Ask about a company you have nothing on, and Margin looks it up by name instead of saying "Nothing on file."
* A saved price list opens as its own page from an answer. Documents, messages and companies come as rows you can open.
* Colleagues. What a colleague sent you or answered has its own heading in Today and in the brief, marked "new", and is no longer a line in the chat.
* Contacts search reads what you type. "Companies from Italy" narrows the list to them, and a question gets a row that takes it to the chat.
* Share a person's contact card from their page.
* Talk follows the conversation: a spoken follow-up is read after what came before it in the chat.
1.5.6 4d ago
* The chat reads in order. What you type stays where it lands, Margin's reply comes under it, and a question asked under a waiting note keeps the note in place. A correction keeps the sentence it replaces above it.
* Margin follows the conversation. Words typed under a note correct that note; "it" means the last thing you said; a follow-up while something is saving waits for the save.
* Registry lists on a map. Ask who sells pork collar in Germany and switch between rows and a map; narrow the list by country from one menu, or by the meat ("pork companies in Hungary").
* Who sells a finished food, answered by the food, not by a spelling match.
* A price list typed or pasted keeps the seller as written. One priced product in a sentence is an offer, not a list.
* Signing out signs out this device only.
* The update notice shows on every screen, not only on Today.
* Notebook search finds a note by its typed words; the link after a saved price list says "Prices".
* Plain words throughout: no more internal names for things in what Margin says.
1.5.5 6d ago
Margin reads your notes a new way. Every note, question and correction goes through a reader that looks things up in your own book and keeps only what you said: no invented suppliers, no steps marked done behind your back. Corrections stack: "week 44, not 43", then "2.30, not 2.35", and both hold. Anything you type under a card corrects the card.
Give a colleague a job. "Ask Lars to get a price from Bergfleisch" lands in his list, in his language, and rings him. His answer comes back to you.
Margin rings. "Remind me at 10" rings your phone at 10.
WhatsApp asks who a price list is from, and who a new deal is with, once, under its receipt.
A price list from someone you know saves on arrival, with Undo. One from a sender Margin cannot place saves under the name as written and asks which record it is.
Answers about your own records come as rows you can open: your deals, who sells what, a company's products and people.
1.5.4 Oct 7
* Margin in WhatsApp. Under Account, tap Connect WhatsApp and send the message it prepares. From then on you can write to Margin in WhatsApp: a note, a photo, a PDF, a voice note, a forwarded message or a question. What you send is filed like any other note and marked "WhatsApp note".
* Italian, Spanish and French. Margin reads your notes and answers in them, and what it reads back before saving is in your language. Registry lists are titled in your language too.
* An offer stays an offer. A supplier's price with no buyer yet is kept on the company with "Save it". "Make it a deal" is the second button, for when you want one.
* Team and group prices are listed by person: each name once, with their photo, cheapest first. A price saved again shows the newest, with "Earlier prices" behind it.
* A colleague's price opens its own page, with a message ready: "Is this still available?" Add their number, from your phone's contacts if you like, and the page opens WhatsApp, Viber, a call or Mail. You send it; Margin sends nothing.
* Your photo and your phone. Add a photo under Account; your team and groups see it. On a team you can add your phone too. Your team sees your name, photo, mail address and that phone; groups see your name and photo.
* Add a person to a company by hand: "Add a person" under the company's people.
* MeatBorsa listings show their photo.
* "Keep as a signal" is now "Just a note".
* Fixes: a photo or PDF under an answer still opens after an hour, and says "Couldn't load" with "Try again" when it can't; an answer quoting a Word or PDF file no longer fails with "error -1011"; "8,000 kg" is eight thousand kilos, and pallets are no longer counted as tonnes.
1.5.3 Oct 5
* A new look. Black and white, larger text, and buttons and rows respond when you press them. Quantities, prices and weeks read the same everywhere: 20 t, €2.35/kg, wk 40. Company names are shorter in lists.
* Margin says what it is doing while you wait: "Reading your note…", "Checking your deals and notes…", "Writing the answer…". A file is read by its name, with its pages and about how many prices. A quick answer shows no waiting line at all.
* Stop. While Margin works, the round button in the message field stops it and puts your words back in the field. If a wait runs long, Margin says so and offers "Read it again".
* The chat follows the conversation. What you type is read together with the chat above it, so "and in Bulgaria?" stays on the same product. When Margin reads your words as a fuller question, a "Read as" line shows it. Ask what a word on screen means and Margin answers in plain words.
* A note waiting for your yes stays put. Ask a question under it and the answer comes under the note; the note is not changed.
* Under an answer, one next step leads and the others are quieter.
* Fairs: a fair's list opens with 30 exhibitors, then "Show 20 more".
* Fixes: shared prices no longer say "frozen frozen pork neck"; the choices under "Which deal?" keep their order; section labels and small values are easier to read; the task sheet and the draft's Adjust field are right in dark mode.
1.5.2 Oct 2
* Chats are kept. Close the app and today's chat is still there when you come back. The next morning starts a fresh chat with the brief.
* Earlier chats are under Chats in the menu, and All chats lists every one, with search. Open one to read it again, tap a saved deal or draft to open it, or type to go on where it stopped: "only the ones near Munich" narrows its list. Show again asks a question again with today's answers. Swipe to delete a chat; the deals, notes and drafts it made stay.
* Lists hold people as well as companies. Draft a message for each, or set call reminders for the ones you haven't reached yet.
* Drafts: edit the subject and the text right where you read them. A draft now states only your side's facts and prices, and every figure is checked against them.
* Ask about Mara, then "write to her": the draft goes to Mara.
* Fairs: each exhibitor shows its stand ("Hall 6 K180"). "Where is Holvex at SIAL?" answers with the stand, and "and from Poland?" stays on the same fair.
* Searching Contacts also finds registry companies you don't have yet, with Add to contacts.
* Ask finds buyers and sellers in any country, not only in Europe.
* Fixes: an offer forwarded to me@marginapp.ai with no words of your own is filed instead of answered "I could not answer that". Merging two contacts keeps their lists.
1.5.1 Sep 30
• Company lists now show how many products each company makes.
• When no company matches, Margin says so once, clearly.
• Asking something new under an answer no longer clears the chat.
• Margin understands questions about itself, even with typos, and says plainly what it can't do.
• Correct product counts in Polish, German and Bulgarian.
1.5.0 Sep 29
* Notebook: the line you're on gets a card with what Margin knows about what it names — an open deal, the same task already on your list, a person's company. Tap Done and Margin asks what to add from the page.
* Notebook: select text for Change prices… and Move weeks….
* Notebook: "called Mara" offers to finish that task. Lines that repeat, call or wait become the right kind of task, and a task you already have isn't added twice.
* A Notebook note now shows on the pages of the people and companies it names.
* Tasks: ask "What's on my list?", "What's due this week?", "What do I owe Mara?", "Did I call Holvex?"
* Tasks: bold means due today, "3d" means three days late. A note that finishes a task closes it instead of adding a new one. Stopping a repeating task keeps this week's.
* Call reminders from a company list come due five per working day, so Who to call brings them up.
* A deal's empty buyer or supplier side is one list: your contacts first, then the registry, with Ask or Offer on each row.
* Every registry company opens the same first look, then its full page. "Who buys…?" puts reviewed buyers first. Flags lead company names.
* Edit a person's role, company, phone, WhatsApp, Viber, email, languages and preferred channel.
* Screenshots show again on contact and company pages, with their captions.
* Fixes: a note no longer creates the same contact twice, and answering Margin's question no longer saves a deal twice.
1.4.9 Sep 28
* Notebook: write the way you write on paper. Margin reads each line as you go, and you add a deal or a task with one tap, or everything on the page with Add all. The note stays exactly as you wrote it.
* Beside each line, the Notebook shows what you already know (open deals it could fill, your last prices with that company) and outside prices from your team, your groups and MeatBorsa.com.
* The Notebook works out sums: "20t x 2.35 =" shows the result. Change… moves the prices or weeks you pick ("+4%", "-0.10", "+1 week") and shows every change first.
* Edit a line after adding it, and Margin offers to update the deal. It never changes the deal on its own.
* Pages save as you write.
* Company lists: pick companies from a registry list, compare them side by side and save them as a list in Contacts. For each list you see where you stand with every company, and can draft a message or set a call reminder.
* Registry lists in the chat are easier to work: type to narrow them, choose the kind of company you're after, and page to the end.
* Company pages lead with what you want to know first, including "Could buy from you" / "Could sell to you" and the company's catalogue.
* Team and group invitations arrive by email, open straight in Margin and wait at the top of your chat. The Groups page now says plainly what a team and a group are.
* Answers come back in the language of your question, in Ask and in Talk.
* Talk hears company and contact names more accurately.
* A note that also asks a question is saved and answered.
* Delete all my data now clears the chat too.
1.4.8 Sep 25
* Teams and groups: create a team or group, invite people, and choose what each room sees of your prices (Signal or Full), with a preview first.
* Prices from your team and groups appear in Ask answers and under a deal's empty buyer or supplier side, labelled with who they came from.
* Ask answers are cleaner: each outside source (Team, Groups, MeatBorsa.com, Registry) is one line with its price, and a tap opens the full list.
* Margin asks before guessing a company or person: "Is Rudnik your Rudnik Mięso?" instead of saving a duplicate.
* Notes fill the right open deal, and products file under the right name (pork cheeks no longer land under jowl).
* Better understanding of German, Polish and Bulgarian.
* Documents show their expiry date only when the document prints one.
1.4.6 Sep 24
* Sign in with your MeatBorsa account.
* Ask what a product costs and see MeatBorsa's live asking prices under your own notes: the price range and the listings behind it.
* Answer Margin's follow-up question with just the missing detail, like "39" for the week or "20 t" for the quantity.
* Type what a button says, like "keep it open" or "just a note", and Margin does it.
* A note that doesn't say whether you're buying or selling now gets asked, not guessed.
* Tap outside the text field to close the keyboard.
1.4.5 Sep 21
• Email Margin. Forward an offer or write a note to your Margin address — deals, tasks and notes go straight in, attachments and all. Ask a question and it answers by email; ask for a draft and it writes one back. Your address is in Account.
• Notes have a place of their own. Type "- " or "1." and the list carries on by itself. A fact you save now lands in Notes.
• Times follow your phone's clock again — an English app no longer forces 12-hour.
• New look for the drawer, with the last places you opened under it.
• Steadier launch screen and page titles.
1.4.4 Sep 21
• Change language in Account without restarting. Bulgarian, German, and Polish now cover more of the app.
• Talk stays a conversation. Noted, follow-ups, and a task marked Done are read back in the same thread.
• Ask who runs a company, who is at a fair, or what a cut is, and get officers, exhibitors, or a definition — not a product list to save.
• Farms in the directory show livestock when we know it. Large registry counts are spoken as thousands.
• A different cut in a scoped chat starts a new deal. Closing one shows the closed deal. A waiting note becomes a next move.
1.4.3 Sep 19
• Coverage list on a live supply — who to offer this to, from your memory and the registry. Open it from the deal, from Ask, or from the brief. People you reached and people you dismissed stay in their own piles, so the open list stays honest.
• Ask for slaughterhouses, farms, or cold stores and get a plant list, not a product catalogue. Save a supplier catalogue even when it has no prices, then Ask against that file.
• Edit a deal, contact, company, or task in one Cancel / Done sheet. A task shows Notes only when there is more than one.
• Weeks are named against today, with a warning if they have already passed. Confirm a note while a deal is open and that deal updates immediately.
• Margin asks before creating a named cold store, and you can add one from the deal. Known parties show on a multi-line deal.
1.4.2 Sep 17
• Talk: the mic is a live conversation. Say the note, Margin reads it back, yes saves the deal — no more recorded voice notes.
• Chat opens on a brief from your own deals and tasks, not a blank prompt.
• Notes stay on the company or contact you have open, including “they” and “remind me”.
• Spell a name letter by letter when the transcript gets it wrong
• Bulgarian, German, and Polish on the same screens.
1.4.1 Sep 15
• Ask the market around you: "who offers pork belly within 200 km of Plovdiv?" returns registry companies by distance, across borders.
• Registry answers by product meaning, with catalogue items and offers together; rows open in place with source, registration and a one-tap "Set as supplier".
• Deal notes gain a Reference slot with the cut's definition in your language.
• Cold stores and own production can be a deal's party, with a My stock section.
• "What did I sell last week?" answers with a complete ledger of closed deals.
• "Deal made" and "Snoozed" replace the old words everywhere; pinned deals stay on top.
1.4.0 Sep 8
• Supplier & buyer matching shows its evidence: the price, the week, and the actual price list behind every suggestion — with an undo after you pick
• Upload a price list and its issuer becomes a company, selling what it prices
• Documents: every file you've given Margin, in one place — searchable inside, with expiry tracking
• Confirmations: a deal side shows "confirmed" only from the counterparty's own words, and clears if the numbers move
• Transportation on deals: who moves the goods and what it costs
• Notes typed inside a deal are faster and stay in their lane
• Mac: native toolbars and search across Deals, Tasks, Documents and Contacts; a toolbar crash fixed
• Bulgarian, German and Polish translations filled in
1.3.9 Aug 8
• Suggestions follow what you're looking at — contacts, companies, and deals offer tappable example notes, plus a question worth asking.
• A warmer attention tone, tuned to each theme — amber is gone.
• Faster everywhere: answers in ~3s instead of 10, quicker capture, typed PDF price lists in a third of the time.
• Next steps live with your tasks everywhere now — and a note saying the work happened ticks the step off. Undo reopens it.
• The deal's ⋯ menu grew up: Write a message asks who it's to, Sold it and Not happening stand together, and Delete deal arrived on iPhone.
• Long price lists fold to a sample — flagged lines always stay visible.
• Every card can now say no: "Ignore this note", with an Undo receipt.
• Profiles: remove a single fact with a long-press; notes no longer double-land as memories.
• Today opens straight at your deals.
1.3.8 Aug 6
* Redesigned deal page — the deal reads as a note, not a form
* The whole trade on one line: supplier, prices, buyer, and what's in it for you
* Details fold into one line of shorthand — tap any word to open it in place
* Tap a price to see how it moved
* Missing a supplier or buyer? Matches from your own notes appear right on the page
* The deal's tasks now live on the page — complete them there, waiting items too
* See what's already done and bring anything back with one tap
* New prices land on the page as you speak — the old number stays, crossed out
* Closed deals stay readable: what sold, for how much, and why it ended
1.3.7 Aug 4
* Everything you're waiting on — tasks and deals — now lives in the Tasks list
* Stalled tasks get their own "Haven't moved" section
* Cancelling a task explains itself; nothing is deleted
* The mic ignores silence and background music
* Full Bulgarian, German, and Polish translations
1.3.6 Aug 3
Your tasks, all in one place.
* New Tasks screen — everything open, what you're waiting on from others, and what's done, behind "All tasks" on Today.
* Tap a task to open it: the note that created it, its history, the people and deals it's about.
* Snooze a task to another day, or cancel it honestly — nothing gets lost, everything stays on record.
* When tasks stop moving, Margin offers one quick look-through — done, snooze, cancel, or keep, one at a time.
* Repeating tasks now live inside the Tasks list.
1.3.5 Aug 2
• Make it yours: five accent themes and a light/dark override in Account → Appearance
• Network is now Contacts, with a richer company and contact page
• Companies show their trade name; the legal suffix stays in the records
• Long-press any task or next step for quick Done / Delete
• Larger accessibility text sizes now work everywhere, including Account
1.3.4 Jul 30
Business cards become contacts. Snap a printed card — or drop in an email-signature screenshot — and Margin reads it into a contact proposal: name, role, company, phone, email. Several cards in one photo work too, and duplicates are matched against people you already know.
Contact imports you can trust. Big imports land in batches, merge only when the evidence corroborates, and every contact is accounted for.
Photos show themselves. A photo you send now appears in the chat as a thumbnail — tap to enlarge.
A faster Network. Your contacts and companies load instantly from cache and page smoothly, however long the list.
Plus: the sign-in code field keeps its focus, and Margin tells you when a newer version is ready on the store.
1.3.3 Jul 30
• Scan a business card straight from an empty chat.
