Distavo turns your meetings into clean, structured Markdown notes — entirely on your terms. Record a meeting with one click (or drop any audio or video file into a watched folder) and Distavo takes it from there: it transcribes the conversation with speaker labels, cleans the transcript, and writes a concise summary with decisions and action points as a Markdown note you can file anywhere. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Transcription runs on-device on Apple Silicon (WhisperKit) • Summaries come from an Ollama server you control — your own Mac or a machine on your network • No accounts, no cloud, no telemetry: recordings and notes never leave the machines you choose BUILT-IN MEETING RECORDER • Captures the meeting audio playing on your Mac (the other participants) plus your microphone (macOS 14.4+) • Works with any meeting app — nothing to install in your browser or conferencing tool A TIDY PIPELINE • Watches a folder: every new recording becomes a note automatically • Speaker-labelled transcripts, timestamp-free and readable • Notes are validated before they are written — no half-finished summaries • Activity log so you can see exactly what happened and when FLEXIBLE ENGINES • Built-in on-device transcription — choose the model that fits your Mac; download and remove models in Settings • Or point Distavo at your own WhisperX server • Summaries via your own Ollama server (local or LAN) Requires macOS 14 or later. On-device transcription needs Apple Silicon; the built-in recorder needs macOS 14.4 or later. Summaries require an Ollama server you run yourself.
