A plate is a framable print of the sky on a night you pick, with the moon in its real phase and the sun rising in its true place. Making one is free, so look first.
Firmament turns one place and one moment into a keepsake.
Pick a place — anywhere — and a date and time, past or future. Firmament computes the whole sky over that spot at that minute, entirely on your iPhone: where the sun rose and set and along which bearings, the twilight bands, the day's length, the moon's exact phase and illumination, and the bright stars overhead. It draws all of it into a quiet, museum-grade plate, stamped with the place, the coordinates, and the date — yours to keep, gift, frame, or share.
A keepsake for the days that matter:
- A newborn's first sky.
- A wedding night.
- The day you met.
- The longest day where you live, or an eclipse over your town.
Everything is computed on your device using established astronomical math — nothing is collected, nothing leaves your phone, and there is no account. Scrub time and watch the sky turn. Search any place by name; using your location is optional and never required.
Free to use: make a plate for any place and day, and export one to try. The one-time Plates unlock adds watermark-free, print-resolution export, your saved keepsake library, every plate finish, and the full named-star layer.

Firmament is not a subscription. The Plates unlock is a single one-time purchase (a non-consumable) — it never renews and there are no recurring charges. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. You can restore your purchase at any time from Settings inside the app.
