126 historic mountain huts of the Australian Alps, mapped and narrated. Hear each hut's story — cattlemen, skiers and snow — fully offline, deep in the high country. Discover 126 of the historic mountain huts of the Australian Alps — the cattlemen's slab huts, ski-touring shelters, gold-rush relics and snow-survival refuges scattered across Kosciuszko, Namadgi, the Victorian high country and the Tasmanian highlands. Tap any hut on the map to hear its story read aloud: who built it, what it sheltered, the fires it survived, and what stands today. Everything works fully offline, so the stories play even deep in the backcountry where there's no phone signal — on a high-country drive, a 4WD track, or a long walk in to a snow-gum hut. Browse all 126 across New South Wales, Victoria, the ACT and Tasmania, see how to reach each one, and let a hut's story begin automatically as you arrive. • 126 huts, mapped with GPS — find the nearest one • Original narrated histories for every hut • Fully offline — no signal needed, ever • Auto-play a hut's story as you arrive (optional) • Save your favourites for trip planning Free to explore three featured huts — Craigs Hut, Wallaces Hut and Seamans Hut. One simple unlock opens the full collection of 126 — no subscription, ever.
