Your group's league is back, and now a playing partner marks every card, just like on competition day. Enjoy your next round.

Every round you've played has something to tell you. Now they can all live in one place, and everything reads easier out on the course. Enjoy the next one.

Some days everything drops. We've polished the app so your phone and your watch stay with you the whole round without getting in the way. Go get that birdie.

This is the week that good round shows up. We've tuned the app so that on the course the only thing on your mind is your swing. See you on the first tee.

Every hole now has a map. • Courses without satellite photos now show each hole on Apple Maps imagery, with 3D terrain or as a flat top-down view, with the same aim line and distances. Switching between 3D and flat is just a camera move. • The round detail, the full-screen hole map and the share card work on those holes too. • Elevation on about 10,000 more courses: "plays like" distances and terrain where there was none. • Better battery: the map pauses when you leave the GPS tab or the app goes to the background. • Apple Watch: hole view on courses without photos, elevation on more courses, and GPS and the workout stop when a round is finished from the iPhone.

Every round now tells its story. • After you save a round, the recap and the round detail read the same way: how it compared with your norm — score, putts, greens, fairways — what it did to your handicap, the anatomy of the score, and one card per area: greens, putting, driving, scrambling, hazards. Records the round set show as medals. • Momentum is drawn against your handicap pace, so a round that went to plan reads flat and the holes that broke it stand out. Switch between PAR and HCP in the round detail. • First-putt distance in the units you play in: metres or feet, each with its own ladder. • The score sheet's club rail follows your bag order, custom clubs included. • On Apple Watch, scoring has been redone: the same first-putt ladder in your units, cancel without moving on, progress dots, your last club pinned, and club pickers in bag order. • "Welcome to Pro" only appears after a purchase or a restore.

Play it the way it's played on the course. • Markers. Each player keeps their own card while a marker in the flight keeps a second one. Matching holes get a tick, differences show up right away, and a card only closes once every hole agrees. • Fourball, foursomes, greensomes and scramble. Pairs and teams with WHS allowances, drawn per flight and easy to swap before you start. • Round setup asks Solo or With others, and Round details is always one tap away from the round menu. • Fixes: correct course handicap on 9-hole rounds, and games now use your current handicap index.

The app now opens on the three things Matrix is for: record your rounds, analyze your game, share your rounds live. Also in this version: • Skill ranks: the Stats tab is now one page that rates each part of your game over your last 20 rounds, and shows how each one moved after your last round • Your rank appears on the feed next to your name, with a card when you climb • A faster scorecard: one tap per hole, move freely between holes, your score always in view • A score is never lost: every score is queued and sent, with or without signal, and the round syncs when you are back online • Handicap calculation aligned with the official rules: rounding, nine-hole rounds and the adjusted gross score cap • Apple Watch: fixed scoring that skipped holes after the watch slept, and club distances that reached the phone as zero • Finishing a round with holes left now asks what you want to do instead of guessing • The live hub follows your system appearance, with better contrast at night • New sign-up flow, and you can start Matrix Pro before creating your account • The free plan now includes 3 scored rounds a month. Matrix Pro has no limit

First public release of Matrix. Turn your golf group into a league: live boards you can share in the group chat, cups, rounds tracked from your iPhone or your Apple Watch, and course maps that keep working with no signal.
