Made for iPhone Duo and iPad in portrait. New: • iPhone Duo: folded, propped and fully open each get their own layout. Propped up like a laptop, the visuals sit above the fold and the controls below. • iPad in portrait shows a larger visual on top with the control pages underneath. • Wide screens show CHIMES, PARTICLES, HEADS and FX in two columns instead of scrolling. • MOTOR is now a rate knob: fully left is off, then slow to fast. Improved: • Reverb WET is gentler at low settings, so small amounts stay subtle.

A new reverb. Particle Chimes has an all-new reverb, so every sound you play rings out in a new space. Improved: • With an audio interface running at 88.2 or 96 kHz, the reverb keeps the same size it has at 48 kHz. • Turning WET while a sound plays (or automating it from your host) now ramps smoothly, with no clicks. • AUTO stays locked to the beat. Free-running AUTO no longer drifts slowly ahead of tempo, and when it follows your host it no longer skips a step now and then. • The Bioluminescence, Jet Stream and Magma visuals keep flowing instead of fading to black after a few seconds. Candy Swirl and Squid Ink stay full when only a few grains are playing. Fixed: • A note held on the keyboard is now released if the touch is interrupted, for example by a notification or Control Center, so it no longer hangs. • Knobs and faders let go cleanly when a drag is interrupted.

Two new exciters. Morph and Sample & Hold (S&H) are now in the exciter picker on iPhone and iPad, next to Classic, Mallet, Pluck, Particles, Flow and Noise. Morph is an oscillator: WAVE sweeps its waveform and WIDTH sets the pulse width. S&H is a noise source that steps from one random level to the next: RATE sets how fast it steps and SMOOTH glides between the steps. Both keep exciting the resonator for as long as a note is held. New in 1.1: PARTICLES gets two new playback modes. Alongside GRAINS, the particle engine can now be set to LOOP or STRETCH. LOOP repeats a slice of the buffer and can be sync'd to musical rhythms. STRETCH is a pitched loop player allowing for pitch and time to be adjusted independently. Studio's full one-page layout now fits more iPads. If Studio was showing you the tabbed view with room to spare, you get the whole patching surface on one screen now. Video export: exported files now carry audio every desktop editor reads correctly, and there is a new MP4 option for smaller, more compatible files.

TONE for the cloud. A new knob in the CLOUD section tilts the granular texture darker or brighter. It shapes only the output: the recorded buffer keeps its full bandwidth and the feedback path is untouched. Hosts can automate it. MPE MIDI out. The plugin now sends MPE for every note it plays: the AUTO sequencer, the performance ribbon, the keyboard strip, and visualizer strums. Microtuning carries through. Point it at another synth and layer the two. New knob look. Value arcs are now grooves machined into the panel with a copper fill, easier to read at a glance. Smoother in hosts. Studio at full screen inside AUM could get sluggish, especially with LFOs mapped. This build is much lighter on the UI thread. Mirror External Display. A new toggle in the visualizer picker. Off keeps the dedicated clean visualizer on the external screen; on mirrors your device instead, for demos and teaching. Fixes: on Apple Silicon Macs, opening the preset browser could crash the app and the plugin window could open blank in Logic; both fixed. Flow skins no longer break down into a grid pattern. The Studio waveform now draws both stereo channels, so notes no longer vanish from the display at higher polyphony. The plugin registers correctly as an instrument in AUv3 hosts.

Fixes knobs and faders that barely responded to a trackpad or mouse drag. If you play Particle Chimes on an iPad with a Magic Keyboard, trackpad, or mouse, controls now sweep their full range in a single gesture, the same as they always have under touch. Fine adjustment is unchanged: press and hold a control briefly before you move it. Also fixed: importing Scala .scl tuning files. The importer wrongly rejected files saved with Windows line endings or older text encodings, which covers most scale packs you can download. They load now.
