Turn your Big Four, a review, your weekly top 10 or a whole list into a story picture for Instagram and TikTok. Weekly challenges now start every Wednesday, and some weeks mix films, TV, books and music in one ranking. Better book pages. Author pages show their best known books first, with a More by row on every book. Social opens on Recent, and Popular shows the posts people are reacting to. On someone else's profile, their posters show their own marks, with their profile picture on each tag. Smoother everywhere. The Data tab opens faster with its numbers already in place, Diary and Collection no longer jump as they open, and Tonight shows its lists as they load. Plus lots of small fixes and polish.

Quadrate 2.0 — a fresh look, and a lot of care under the hood. A NEW LOOK • A new typeface across the whole app, with calmer, smaller text (it still grows if you use bigger text on your iPhone). • A redesigned Data tab: five chapters, streaks, your ratings beside everyone else's, and new badges to earn. • A cleaner profile. Change your photo, Big Four and backdrop in Settings → Profile. MUSIC • Album versions: log which version you listened to (Deluxe, The Encore…), rate each one, and hear when a new version of an album you've logged comes out. READING • Log a reading session after the fact, and every session now saves properly. DISCOVER • Highest rated now shows the films, shows, books and albums people on Quadrate rate highest. • Discover keeps your place when you come back to it. PLEX • Choose which server to use, including one shared with you. Big libraries sync reliably, and titles that leave Plex can leave your Collection (we always ask first). NOTIFICATIONS • At most one morning alert a day, and never the same news twice. • A gentle note when a new version of Quadrate is out. TONIGHT — A NEW TAB For the question you actually have: what do I pick up now? Your watchlist and your lists in one place, plus a view that narrows films and shows to what's streaming on the services you have (UK availability). THE FEED IS THE FIRST SCREEN The app now opens on what the people you follow have been logging, and the header slides out of the way as you scroll. The same goes for your diary, collection and favourites. THE WEEKLY CHALLENGE, REBUILT Drag your ten into order instead of tapping arrows up and down. See how many people are playing and where the crowd put things — you no longer have to commit first. Changed your mind? You can remove your ranking entirely. DISCOVER Four full-width bands — films, TV, books and music — with real artwork behind them. Tap the search bar and your recent searches are there; tap Cancel and you're back. THE SAME FILTERS EVERYWHERE One set of filters across your ratings, favourites, watched, diary and collection — and on your feed and any title's reviews. Status, tags, rating, year, length, format, genre, country, language and streaming. What's new in 1.7.0 • Official accounts — verified accounts now wear an official badge across the app, with a new Official feed on Social and an Official tab in Discover → Lists. • Tap any day on your Data calendar to see everything you logged that day. • Records — new milestones for seasons, shows, episodes and songs. • Lists, reworked — drag to reorder, a new "List order" sort, and filter a list by year, streaming service, or cast & crew. • Discover → Books now scrolls endlessly instead of stopping short. • Get notified when someone you follow posts a review. • Fixes throughout — album song ratings that wouldn't show, the decades chart, tapping an episode from your ratings, book covers, and more.

Rate a whole show, not just its seasons You can now give a series one rating, the way most people actually think about TV. Seasons and episodes are still there when you want that detail. If you've already rated seasons, open the bell — Quadrate will offer to fill in your shows for you, dated to when you last rated each one. Also in this version: • A rebuilt Data tab — your year in numbers, a monthly calendar of what you watched and read, your favourite directors, actors, authors and artists, and how your ratings compare to everyone else's. • A new home screen, with what's trending and what's loved on Quadrate. • Reply to comments on a review. • Lists, watchlists and tags have been redesigned — each one now opens on its own covers instead of a stock image. • Rename and delete your tags. • Tap someone's name on a list to open their profile. • Episode ratings on a show page, with your gold, silver and bronze picks marked. • Tap a photo in a gallery to see it full screen. • Faster, calmer loading throughout, and a lot of small fixes.

Sharing is here — send a film, show, book, album or your own review as a link. Tap it and it opens right in Quadrate. Also in this update: • Book covers now load instantly the second time you open a book. • "I'm watching this" — track a show you're watching without ticking off episodes. • Log how you watched or listened to something via Plex. • A rating you gave one edition of an album now shows up in search too. • Smaller fixes and polish.

Books • The cover of the edition you actually own now shows up when you choose a cover — including after you scan a barcode. If a book has covers we already know about, they come first now instead of being buried. • The cover picker tells you when it's still looking, instead of quietly filling in. TV • A show you've taken "didn't finish" back off no longer keeps saying you didn't finish it. • Your show ratings now read the same everywhere. A show rated 5 and 4.5 says 4.8 on every screen, instead of 5 in one place and 4.8 in another. • The green "seen" tick now means you've actually watched a show, not just that it's in your library. Everywhere • New: a half-circle on the cover of anything you've started and not finished — a show you're partway through, a book you're reading, an album you've dipped into. • Your Ratings screen shows the four things Quadrate is about — Films, Seasons, Books and Albums — instead of six. Tap Seasons or Albums to bring in episodes or songs.

Did not finish Gave up on a book at page 40, or bailed on a show mid-season? You can now say so. It stays in your library and you can still rate and review it, but it won't count towards your totals or your yearly goal. Films, TV, books and music. Done with a show Finished season 2 and never went back? Tell Quadrate you're done with a series and it will stop telling you when it comes back. Your music comes across from Plex Plex sync used to bring only films and TV. Albums now come too, with the file type (FLAC, MP3) shown where a film shows 1080p. Discover keeps scrolling Every Discover page used to stop dead after one screen. It carries on now. Reviews say which season A review reached from a show page now names the season it's about, and you get one review per person per season instead of one for the whole show. Filters work the same everywhere One consistent set of controls across every list. Pick more than one type at once, the controls stay put instead of scrolling away, and the filter count only ever tells you what's hidden. Make it look how you want Pick your own poster for any film or show — and your own background too. Now per season, so two seasons of the same show don't have to look the same. Your choice follows the title everywhere: your diary, your lists, search, Discover, even the cards you share. A diary you can actually get through Sort it by rating, by date, or A–Z. Switch to a compact view that shows twelve at a time instead of three. Narrow it to just what you've watched, just your watchlist, or just the ones you wrote about. Finished a show? It says so Rate every season and the show's card marks it as done. Fixed • The weekly challenge leaderboard no longer lets one person's single pick beat a film everyone chose • Popular now actually shows the posts people reacted to — it couldn't see any of them before • Discover can answer "things I've rated" from your own shelf, instead of whatever's globally popular • Favourite episodes and songs can be changed from your diary, and no longer lose your 2nd and 3rd picks • Seasons are labelled everywhere, so two entries for one show are finally tellable apart • Whole shows no longer appear in your ratings under a score you never gave • Times watched now works for TV • Your rating shows the edition you actually logged, and ratings pool across editions • A pile of smaller layout and loading fixes

Books got a serious upgrade in this one, plus a few things that were overdue. • Accurate publication years — books now show when they were first published, not whenever the edition you picked came out. No more classics dated 2021. • Better book search — fewer duplicates, box sets and samplers filtered out, and tidier titles. • Long titles in search results are easier to tell apart at a glance. • Tags are easier to reach when you're logging — swipe through your most-used ones, or start typing to filter. • Report a single comment, rather than the whole post it sits under. • Assorted fixes and polish.
