Fixes and improvements: • The update notice no longer blocks the app. If the App Store hasn't offered you the newest version yet, you can keep using MaskAlarm and we'll remind you later. • Your night timeline now always shows the mask-off moment that set off an alarm, even a brief one. Before, a short interruption could be smoothed out of the timeline and the alarm was left with no visible cause. Updating from an older version? MaskAlarm now speaks Spanish — every screen, the FAQ, the guided setup tests, and the spoken alarm cues.

The FAQ grew up. It used to be four questions. It is now 49 real answers with the actual numbers in them — how many monitoring hours each plan includes, what each plan costs, how the nightly score is calculated, how mask-off events are counted, exactly what happens to camera images (analyzed and discarded, never stored), and where everything lives in Settings. It is organized by topic, searchable, and every answer has a copy button so you can paste it into a message to a family member or caregiver. Monitoring also arms sooner. The alarm can only sound once the app has confirmed your mask is on — that confirmation now typically lands well under a minute after you tap Start Monitoring, and if you get up in the night, monitoring re-arms about a minute after you settle back in. Same checks, same care — just less waiting. And a small tidy: once every check on Test My Setup has passed, its home-screen shortcut steps aside. It is still in Settings whenever you want to re-run it. MaskAlarm now speaks Spanish. Every screen, the FAQ, the guided setup tests, the spoken alarm cues, and your nightly sleep report — set your iPhone (or just this app) to Español and everything follows, including answers from Ask MaskAlarm.

Meet Ask MaskAlarm. Tap the sparkle icon on the home screen and ask anything about the app in your own words — by typing or by voice. "How do I get an alarm when he gets out of bed?" gets a plain answer that tells you where the setting lives — and shows the actual control right in the answer, so you can change it on the spot instead of hunting through Settings. It answers questions about MaskAlarm only: settings, setup, plans and pricing, and how to reach us. It works in caregiver mode too, for questions about pairing and setting up a patient's phone. You get 25 questions a day. After each answer, a quick thumbs up or down tells us whether it helped — that's how the assistant gets better.

This update makes MaskAlarm easier to set up and easier to see. New: a first-night checklist on the home screen walks you through the three setup steps — choose your mask, test detection on your bed, check your room's light — with a checkmark as each completes. It disappears once you're set up. Better accessibility: VoiceOver now names every control, and the monitoring status, snooze countdown and caregiver alarm text all scale with your text-size setting.

This update is all about caregiver alerts. Caregivers now choose their own alert timing. On your phone, open a patient and pick how long their mask-off alarm sounds before you're alerted — right away, or after 15, 30 or 60 seconds — and whether to alert you again if it's still sounding. Alarms that resolve quickly never reach you. When an alarm you were alerted about resolves — the mask goes back on, or the alarm is dismissed — your phone now gets a quiet all-clear that replaces the alert, so you're never looking at an outdated "Mask off". A new Recent alerts list on the caregiver screen shows every alert your phone received, with the patient, what happened, and when. Session details on the monitored phone likewise record when caregivers were alerted. Muting a patient now fully silences their alerts, including while your phone is locked. Clearer controls: the per-caregiver "Alarm sound on this phone" switch now explains exactly whose phone it silences, and if it's off, the monitoring screen says so all night — "Alarm silent on this phone — [name] gets the alerts." Also: the sleep summary now notes how many mask-off events were hose disconnections, and a new tip explains how iPhone ringer volume affects alert loudness.

Camera images are never saved on your phone. Each frame is checked for the mask and then discarded — only the result is kept, and any frames a previous version had stored are removed when you open this update. Hourly Usage now shows the hours your plan actually includes. Some subscribers were shown a trial allowance instead; the hours you were metered against were always the correct ones. Monitoring settings are easier to read, with the alarm sound and its controls grouped together. For care organizations: the license code now appears on the Subscription page, a licensed phone supports up to five caregivers, and an organization can choose whether session history is shown on the phones it licenses. Nothing about how monitoring or alarms work has changed.

This update adds a free trial, and brings across everything from the release that preceded it. • 8 hours of monitoring, free. Every new install comes with 8 monitoring hours at no cost — the whole app, nothing held back. Use them over as many nights as you like: there is no time limit and nothing to cancel. This update is mostly about showing you what MaskAlarm actually saw. • See the frames. Settings now has Detection Frames — every image from every night, with the verdict the detector reached and how dark the room was. Swipe through a night, filter to just the mask-off reads, and delete any night you would rather not keep. The images stay on your phone. • Tell us when it got one wrong. If a frame is mislabelled you can correct it and send it in. Nothing is sent until you tap Submit, you are told plainly that a person will look at the photo, and you choose whether it helps only your setup or everyone. • Delete everything, and get told it is done. Settings now has a delete-all-my-data option that waits for the server to confirm what it removed, rather than claiming success and finishing in the background. • Support requests without leaving the app. An envelope on the home screen — pick what it is about, write up to 4,000 characters, and add contact details only if you want a reply. • A clearer night. Session Details and the Sleep Report now share one layout, and the timeline filters by event type, including alarms. Durations read to the minute instead of the second. • Fewer alarms in the first minutes. Monitoring no longer reacts to the moments right after a session starts, while the camera is still adjusting to a dark room. • Faster on plans without hose detection. Monitoring now checks every 60 seconds on Standard, Extended and Continuous. • Caregiver mode fills in. App Info, Subscription, FAQ, Personalization and Data & Privacy are reachable without switching modes, and a caregiver's patient list moves to a new phone.

• A clearer Subscription page. It shows your actual plan name and how much monitoring time you have left, rather than a countdown from the App Store. • "Test my setup" stays on the home screen. It used to disappear after the first test; now it's always there for when you move the phone, change rooms, or change masks. This update adds a way to help improve detection, gives the alarm a voice, and lets you loop in a caregiver. • Report a wrong detection (optional, off by default): if the app ever reads your mask wrong, you can review that session's images, blur out your eyes, face, or anything private with your finger, set what it should have been, and send just the ones you choose. Images are used only to improve detection, are never seen by a person, and are deleted within 48 hours. You can turn this on or off anytime in Settings → Data & Privacy. • Alarm verbal cues: instead of only a siren, a calm voice can ask you to put your mask back on — choose the voice, how long the alarm sounds first, and how many times it repeats. • Caregiver alerts: notify a partner or caregiver by text message or in the app when your mask-off alarm sounds, so someone can help. Each caregiver has their own on/off and alarm-sound settings, and a Test button. • Set Sound Level: right before a session starts, play the alarm and set a comfortable volume with your phone's buttons — no more guessing. • Power-loss and low-battery alerts: get an audible alert if your charger comes unplugged or the battery runs low while you're monitoring overnight. • Reliability and accuracy: session start and end times are shown and calculated correctly, the alarm keeps checking so monitoring resumes automatically when your mask goes back on, and a false "no internet" alert has been fixed. • Various bug fixes and stability improvements.

New: Caregiver Alerts. MaskAlarm can now notify a caregiver the moment your mask-off alarm sounds — by text message (US phone numbers) or through the MaskAlarm app on a second phone. Turn each caregiver on or off, choose whether the alarm also sounds on your phone for them, and send a test alert anytime to confirm it's working. This update focuses on setup, alarm control, and accuracy. Simpler mask setup: instead of finding your exact make and model, you answer two quick questions — your mask type (nasal, pillows, or full face) and where the hose connects (front, or over the top of your head). New alarm controls in Settings: cap how long the alarm sounds, tune how quickly it re-checks whether your mask is back on or you've left the bed, and set a grace delay so it gives you time to reach the phone before it cancels. Getting out of bed now stops an alarm that's already sounding, and snooze shows a live countdown. More accurate night reports, plus bug fixes and stability improvements.

• Snooze redone: snoozing now shows a live 5-minute countdown right on the monitoring screen, with clear "Continue monitoring" and "Stop monitoring" buttons. "Stop" fully ends the session; snooze automatically ends early if you put your mask back on. • The alarm's Stop and Snooze buttons now behave consistently on iPhone and Android. • Snooze is smarter: if you snooze and stay in bed without your mask, the alarm sounds again when the snooze ends. If you get up, it quietly stands down; put the mask back on and the snooze clears. • Getting out of bed now stops an alarm that's already sounding, not just one that's about to start. • Keep-the-screen-on reliability: if your screen turns off during a session, MaskAlarm now warns you right away that it can't watch while the screen is off — and if a session ever ends unexpectedly, you'll see a notice next time you open the app. (No more silent stops.) • Armed confirmation beep now also sounds when you get out of bed and come back — so you hear that you're protected again after a bathroom trip. • Faster, more reliable re-arming after you return to bed. • The morning "were last night's alarms real?" question has been removed. • The optional "Share detection data" program has been removed, and any snapshots previously shared were deleted from our servers. Two-Phone Monitoring — Pair a second phone (Android or iPhone) to watch from both sides of the bed. The phones cross-check each other before sounding an alarm, so turning away from one camera no longer causes false alarms. One subscription covers both phones, and starting one phone can auto-start the other. Better night vision — Much clearer low-light monitoring, and the camera-aiming screen now brightens in a dark room so you can see what you're pointing at. Plus reliability fixes: alarms and session stats are recorded correctly when a night ends at the alarm screen.

• Help improve mask detection (optional): choose to share snapshots from detection events — like alarms and uncertain readings — so MaskAlarm gets better at recognizing masks in real bedrooms. Off by default, one tap to decline, change anytime in Settings. • Switching phones?
