Kokuky – Pétanque Online
Multiplayer boules game in 3D
Free · In‑App Purchases
Play pétanque on 3D courts, challenge a friend online and test your precision every day. Learn the throw and try three complete seven-point AI matches for free. The throwing tutorial, Daily Throw and Daily Challenge stay free after the trial.
Daily Throw is the traditional daily precision competition with its own standings and previous results. Alongside it, Daily Challenge rotates precision throws, the Pettank gate, one-shot carreau and two-throw bowling. Everyone plays the same daily layout. Both games continue your shared daily streak.
Unlock the full game with one permanent purchase. Get all five courts, online play, pass-and-play on the same phone, tournaments and unlimited challenge practice. No ads or subscription. Your local price is shown in the game's store.
Make the game yours: build your own player character with outfits, shorts, a throwing hand and your name on the back. Opponents see you in online matches. The optional shop offers cosmetic boule skins and team outfits; they never change how the game plays.
Point close to the jack or shoot an opponent's boule away. Challenge a friend, find an opponent or play against the AI. AI matches earn XP only; KOKUKY skill points come only from matches against real players. Replay the last online throw and continue to the result when ready. Send a quick emoji or encouragement during online play. Regular messages remain available.
Available in English, Finnish and French. Online play and shared events require an internet connection. Existing installations keep their previous game access when updating.
more This update includes:
• Native full-screen iPad support.
• Shop characters stay centred while rotating.
• Updated Black Horse logos on outfits, boules and thumbnails.
• Clearer information about tournament pack prizes.
1.4.13 21h ago
New: your own player character! Choose the body, clothes, shorts, throwing hand and the name on your back. Opponents see your character in online matches, and throwers now stand in the circle for their whole turn. AI opponents wear their team's outfits. The shop has superboules, team outfits and packs for every team; they only change the look. The main menu has a fresh layout. We also fixed the Daily Challenge aiming camera and the Champion prize pictures. The opponent camera now frames the character and boules better. We fixed replay contacts and the Pettank jacket colours. In-game messages can be hidden, and the redundant notice for a match already underway is gone.
1.4.12 3d ago
Daily Throw returns as its own game alongside Daily Challenge. Browse past daily leaderboards and your own history. New online emojis and quick reactions complement existing messages. We also fixed streak continuity across the October 22 disruption.
1.4.11 Oct 23
Fixed boule selection in challenge practice: your selected boule, including Champion boules, now appears correctly. Open the boule cabinet from game settings and change boules between throws. Practice replays preserve each throw’s boule appearance. Daily competition clearly explains its shared standard boule. Previous Daily Challenge improvements, streaks and result history are preserved.
1.4.10 Oct 22
Free Daily Challenge: precision throws, Pettank gate, one-shot carreau and two-throw bowling rotate daily. Existing streaks stay. Full-game owners can practise without limits. Replay the final online throw and continue to the result when ready. AI matches earn XP only; KOKUKY points come from real-player matches. Clear loading screens, a bowling score submission fix and faster server reads.
1.4.7 Oct 21
Start playing faster: Find opponent takes you straight into a match with a player or a game character. Character matches started through matchmaking now also earn KOKUKY skill points. The same challenge no longer notifies you on every launch. Removed the extra new-game confirmation and startup delay. Includes the latest AI, match-resume and boule-impact fixes.
1.4.6 Oct 20
Updated court visuals, lighting and skies. Fresh Champion boule designs for Pettank, Skattan Kuula and Le Manse. Tournament participants now receive a result notice with their final placing, with a special celebration for the winner. Great-throw messages appear in the centre of the screen. Improved practice-menu scrolling and Champion boule selection during matches, plus interface and stability fixes. The final throw and settled court can now be viewed before the result screen, including online and tournament matches. Daily Throw more reliably displays your chosen player name.
1.4.4 Oct 16
Match chat now shows only your conversation with the opponent. Fixed message bubble flicker. Smoother opponent camera and Tactics Camera. Friend stars restored. Sound cues for online starts, challenges and messages. Rebalanced lob distance and accuracy. Separate KOKOKY online rating and growing XP. Rock-paper-scissors now announces a tie.
1.4.3 Oct 10

Refreshed menus and friend chat with reactions. Clearer invitations, score cards, tournament setup and replay controls.

1.4.2 Oct 9
Quick game: 1 min per player. Online game: 5 min per player. Scroll through all online favourites. Invite your favourites with one tap: the first acceptance starts the game and cancels the other invitations. Challenges show the rules, and messages send push notifications. Improved boule collisions, camera switching, chat readability and the player-versus-player result card.
1.4.1 Oct 8
Friend chat is here! Add each other as favorites, chat during matches and start a game from your conversation.
Simpler menus, larger rock–paper–scissors choices and player names that open player cards.
The Mäksy 40 celebration boule is available to everyone. Play five AI matches in the Mäkkylä 40 tournament.
Messaging, scrolling and notification fixes.
1.4.0 Oct 7
Clearer cup progress, results and prize setup. When a player already has all five Champion boules, the prize passes to the next eligible place. Faster cup match recording, plus improvements to online turns, player photos and team selection.
1.3.9 Oct 5
Improved online turn changes and connection recovery. Fixed a freeze after an invalid jack throw. Smoother throw replays and fewer duplicate network requests. Cup standings are available in the tournament menu and open after the last match. The season league has its own standings through 1 August 2027. Results are saved automatically; sharing a replay is optional.
1.3.8 Oct 3
Online fixes for turn changes, new ends, out-of-bounds jacks, rock-paper-scissors openings and reconnection. Point saving recovers better after connection interruptions. The online menu scrolls with up to five ongoing matches. Practice drills start with the basics. Improved turn notifications and online diagnostics.
1.3.7 Oct 2
New: online matches with no time limit. Play up to five matches at your own pace against different opponents and get notified when they throw. Choose a match to 7 points or a one-end quick game when challenging. We also fixed challenge alerts, opening turns, and rock–paper–scissors sync.
1.3.5 Sep 29
Quick Play against AI now ends after one scoring end. You choose when to play AI; matchmaking no longer switches to it automatically. Short AI matches award points in proportion to their length. Rock–paper–scissors choices now show clear icons. Boule hits now move the struck ball more noticeably. Evening courts are easier to see. Practice instructions are easier to read. Tournament selection and matchmaking screens are clearer.
1.3.2 Sep 27
Weekend Cups now have their own screen: play quick one-end AI matches and follow a shared leaderboard. The winner can choose a Champion boule after the results are confirmed. Your selected boule now stays equipped when you reopen the game. We also fixed small issues in the boule cabinet and gameplay.
1.3.1 Sep 26
Online play adds a one-end quick match and teams with invite codes and custom logos. Illustrated rock–paper–scissors decides who starts. Player cards show point history, and public photos appear on the leaderboard. Play Now opens online play; Play Last returns to your previous mode. You choose an AI opponent explicitly; short AI games award fewer points. We fixed AI-abandon points and an online opening that could get stuck at rock–paper–scissors.
1.3.0 Sep 24
One clear KOKUKY score now tracks competitive play across every game mode. Online play, AI matches, tournaments, the Daily Throw, tasks and scored practice can raise or lower your rank; online changes also reflect your opponent’s score. A new table on the player card explains the rules. We also fixed completed and cancelled online match states so you can start a new game directly.
1.2.9 Sep 21
The Daily Throw now shows the leader's boule as a ghost target. Yesterday's winning throw replays from behind the jack. Opponent throws show their throw style. You can find a new opponent right after an online match. AI matches award XP, impacts move boules more readily, player-card photos can be shared, and win/loss markers work in every language. The direction arrow stays off in online play and the Daily Throw.
1.2.8 Sep 20
Open player cards from leaderboards, the Daily Throw and matches. See public stats and recent matches, then challenge, favorite or report a player. Matches now include quick reactions, Good game and rematch. This update also fixes and adds skipping to the throw tutorial, improves practice feedback, lets you try yesterday's winning throw, adds shortcuts from daily tasks and restores previously hidden players.
1.2.7 Sep 16
The Daily Throw is now on the main menu, and winning pays off: the day's winner gets leaderboard points and a crown next to their name. Also new: a throw streak, your own results, a 6 PM reminder, daily tasks and a replay of yesterday's winning throw. The leaderboard now has the season, the thrower of the month and teams, and the top three of the season and the month win a trophy. Autumn Storm Week arrives in October and a Christmas calendar in December.
1.2.5 Sep 15
Our biggest update yet! Daily Throw: one boule a day on the same court for everyone, with a shared board. The KOKUKY tournament builds round by round: whispering commentators, match point tension and a final under the evening lights in front of a crowd. New trophy cabinet, tournament history and revenge matches. Share your best throw as a card or a 9:16 video. And the 2025 final is now playable.
1.2.3 Sep 14
New directed replays: slow motion on hits, close-ups when boules touch and a measuring camera for tight calls. Watch your own throw again with the WATCH REPLAY button in the measuring view. You now also stay signed in between launches, with fixes for switching and deleting accounts.
1.2.2 Sep 12
If your Google or Apple account already has a Match Pass, you can now switch to it straight from guest play instead of getting an interrupted sign-in. Also includes smaller fixes.
