Born from a Passion for Flying
King Schools, Inc. is the world's leading producer of aviation training videos and computer software. KING was first established in 1974, when John and Martha began flying throughout the country to teach ground school courses.
Today, King Schools has over 50 employees operating from an 18,000 sq. ft. complex, housing a dedicated video production facility. In the past 10 years we have delivered more than 4 million hours of video instruction, teaching up to one-third of all pilots in the U.S. obtaining training.
We are keenly aware of the importance of the work we do. During the time someone is learning to fly, flying is the most important thing in his or her life. We are privileged to play such a significant role in the lives of such committed individuals. We take pride in producing quality work for these special people.
You can hand me a book and ask me to read and comprehend what is written. I would not absorb what I read. You could dictate what was written. My results to explain what was told would not be as good. How ever. With the medium that the king schools have done is this. From someone that did not know any ground school to passing first time my PPL, To someone grasping the knowledge of FOI and AGI. I am almost ready to take both FAA written exams. It took me on a couple of course watching the same thing 3 or 4 times before the penny dropped. I can say this for there course…I KNOW the information. Not just understand it to pass…HUGE Difference. It makes me a better pilot….soon to be ..a better teacher.
IFR KING SCHOOL

The king school app has been a great learning tool for me. The information is clearly presented in a formal yet relaxed manner. I like that I can stop and start the training when it’s convenient for my schedule. I’ve purchased other IFR training programs from other well known organizations but I feel King School is easier for me to understand and learn from. The only issue I’ve experienced is when working on quizzes after a subject. Sometimes you cannot see the information provided on the figures tab. When you zoom in the numbers and information become blurry. I know they have a legend and figures sheet you can download and access, but I personally don’t like having to jump back and forth from the quiz to the ledgend to on my iPad and find the specific figure that I’m working on. It could be my fault and I don’t have something setup correctly. I love King School and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an online training program.
Poor QC leads to lots of wasted time

As much as I paid for this course, I expect the publishers to perform due dilligence in quality control (QC). I have wasted countless hours cross-checking questions and answers that were either not yet covered to that point in the course or were test questions incorrectly coupled with charts and figures. I am taking the instrument course. The questions portion does not include a readily available link to relevant supplememts that would typically be readily available during a real test. Studying has been cumbersome due to me needing to pull these supplements either on paper charts or from 3rd party apps. The concept of king schools is really good, but the lack of quality control has left me raging at the app repeatedly on multiple occasions in utter frustration and exasperation. There’s also no warning of these issues. If you blindly study in this system, you will have mixed up information and fundamentally flawed understanding when it counts the most without even realizing it.The app functionality is excellent, but the poor QC is so overwhelmingly disadventagious that no amount of performance can account for the immeasurable detremental effects of the lack of QC.Contacting customer service has provided no relief. I explain the issues as thoroughly as I can, yet nothing has changed, and I’ve been using this app and submitting complaints about it to customer service for over a year now.Steer clear of this app if you crave a thorough, deep, and accurate basis of pilot fundamentals upon which you can rely for a lifetime.
Efficient and Intuitive: A Top-Notch Study Aid

I recently used the King School app and found it incredibly intuitive and user-friendly. The app's practice questions are almost identical to the ones on the actual tests, which is a huge plus for effective preparation. What stood out to me were the video tutorials - they're short, concise, and get straight to the point, making learning quick and efficient. I highly recommend this app to anyone looking for a reliable study aid. It's clear that a lot of thought went into making this app not just educational, but also highly accessible.
