Start it right from the badge at the top of the camera screen. • Time-lapse speed Choose 5x, 15x, 30x or 60x. Open the arrow at the top of the screen to change it. • Accessibility improvements The shutter and the main controls can now be used with VoiceOver. • Stability and performance Lower memory use in the gallery, and less stutter while photos are being saved.

Improved reliability for time-lapse and video recording. • Time-lapse recording now stops and alerts you if frames stop being recorded. • If storage or available memory runs low, recording stops with an explanation and the app attempts to save the recorded portion. • Videos that could not be saved to Photos are kept in the app for another save attempt. • Recording preparation and video finalization are shown more clearly. • Improved handling of heat during long time-lapses and saving when switching away from the app.

Fixed an issue where photos were saved at 12MP after relaunching the app with 48MP enabled.

48 MP capture now actually works. ■ The 48MP button shows up On supported devices the button was missing from the settings panel. In Photo mode, tap the arrow at the top to open the panel — it's on the far right. ■ Turning it on really saves 48 MP Shots use the main lens, the same way the built-in camera does. While it's on, the zoom range narrows to 1x–2x.

Fixed time-lapse videos that could go missing instead of being saved. ■ The screen stays on while recording Leave the phone propped up for a long take — auto-lock no longer cuts the recording short. ■ Leaving the app keeps your footage If you switch away mid-recording, whatever you've captured so far is saved before it stops. ■ You'll know when storage runs out If there isn't room to save, we say so on screen instead of failing quietly.

You can now put filters on photos that are already in your library. ■ Gallery filters Open a shot you've already taken, pick one of 15 filters, and save it as a copy. The original is never touched. ■ Selfie mirror Save front-camera shots the way you see them on screen. The setting sticks. ■ Faster camera switching Flipping between front and back is close to twice as fast, and the picture steadies much sooner. ■ Wider device support Now runs on iPhone XR and XS (iOS 18) and later.
