NihonLetter helps foreign residents and multilingual families in Japan understand Japanese paperwork. Capture or import a notice, bill or school letter, and AI helps organize key points, deadlines, amounts and to-dos in your selected language; check the original before acting.
• Scan and import: recognize text on your device and organize Japanese documents.
• Processing cards: review summaries and suggested actions. Check the original before acting.
• Deadlines: keep track of to-dos and optionally add them to your device calendar or reminders.
• Japanese replies: review and copy reply templates. Check the text before sending.
• Family spaces: share only documents you deliberately save to a family space. Personal documents are not shared automatically.
• Original documents: for camera-scanned originals, choose local-only or cloud storage and retention options available in the app. Family originals follow the family space rules.
Available in Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese (Taiwan/Hong Kong), and Vietnamese.
Subscriptions: NihonLetter Pro and NihonLetter Family offer auto-renewing monthly and yearly plans. Prices and benefits are shown on the purchase screen. Free use has monthly analysis limits; the remaining allowance is shown in the app. Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation. Plans renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings.
Privacy: OCR runs on your device. With your explicit consent, recognized text is sent to a third-party AI service for analysis. Original images and PDFs are not sent to the AI service. Local-only originals do not mean that all data stays offline: analysis text and results are still processed by the server.
