Word Ocean: My Vocabulary Book
Flashcards, Quizzes & Widgets
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Vocabulary isn’t a willpower problem. It’s a system problem.
How many times do you look at your phone’s Home Screen each day? Dozens of times. Word Ocean turns every one of those moments into a chance to learn.
[Too tired to make a vocabulary list? Just take a photo]
Photograph unfamiliar words in books, subtitles, and documents. OCR recognizes the text, and AI automatically adds definitions and example sentences. Spend the time you used to spend organizing vocabulary lists actually memorizing.
[Your Home Screen becomes your vocabulary list]
The Home Screen widget shows cards for the words you’re learning. You don’t need to open the app or decide it’s time to study—each glance at your phone naturally brings you back to your words.
[You’ve seen the words—now check what you know]
Flip through flashcards, then use Word → Meaning and Meaning → Word quizzes to see what has really stuck. The satisfaction of moving a word from Learning to Mastered will make you want to add the next one.
[Build an ocean of words that is yours]
Organize by topic with folders, search and filter words and sentences, add large batches from Excel, and keep everything safe with automatic backup. The more it grows, the more valuable and dependable your personal vocabulary library becomes.
