Chored is the parent app for Chored.ai—the family assistant that runs your household by text.
Kids don’t need another app on their phone. They text your family’s Chored number to mark chores done, ask what’s on their list, swap tasks with a sibling, or book the car. You run everything from this dashboard: who does what, when, and what they’ve earned.

Chored is designed for families who are tired of nagging, sticky notes, and group chats that nobody reads. Set up your family once, lock in your weekly rhythm, and let the assistant handle the back-and-forth—swaps, cover-for-sibling confirmations, and nudges when something’s overdue.
The iOS app is your admin control panel. The same account works on chored.ai if you prefer a bigger screen at home.

Chored requires a subscription after your free trial. Plans are sized for your family (number of kids). Manage your subscription in the app.

Choose how Chored builds your week
There's a new Scheduling mode in Settings, with three options:
• Automatic: list your chores and Chored schedules everything, sharing the work fairly between the kids each week.
• Dashboard: place each chore on the day and kid you want. That week becomes your plan and repeats every week. Only what you place is scheduled, and nothing is moved for you.
• Advanced: build weekly templates, switch between them and schedule them ahead.
Also in this update:
• Locks are clearer: a locked chore can't be swapped by text; unlocked chores can be swapped by the kids for that week.
• In Dashboard mode, new chores start unlocked and the dashboard explains how your plan repeats.
• Weekly Templates now appears under More when you choose Advanced.
• Texting "send the schedule to the kids" now sends it to the whole family and tells you if anyone hasn't confirmed texts yet.
• Fixes: chores you move by hand stay where you put them, and template days no longer go missing when the next week is built.
