Dictate privately through macOS Services in apps that expose them. A Kassis Service returns text to the field or explicitly copies it for manual pasting. Kassis turns your voice and spoken instructions into polished, ready-to-use writing. DICTATION THAT KEEPS UP In a compatible text field, choose Kassis from the macOS Services menu or use the shortcut assigned to that service. Press once, speak, then pause. Kassis transcribes locally and macOS returns the finished text to the field. Service support is provided by the active app. If the app or field does not expose Services, this Store edition cannot be invoked from that location. When you invoke a Kassis Service, you can explicitly choose clipboard output: Kassis copies the result instead of returning it to the field, then you paste it manually. After you pause, Kassis ends the recording, transcribes it, and applies the selected local correction. A processing indicator remains visible until macOS returns the finished text to the field. Processing time depends on dictation length, the selected engine, and correction settings. CORRECTION THAT UNDERSTANDS YOUR WORDS Kassis can combine the current dictation, your personal vocabulary, and recent subject matter to resolve ambiguous words, capitalization, grammar, agreements, and technical terms. Choose automatic punctuation, punctuation-only cleanup, fuller contextual correction, or manual punctuation with spoken commands such as “period”, “open quote”, and “new line”. CLEARER AUDIO Apple voice enhancement can reduce background noise and balance voice level on compatible microphone routes. Kassis also opens the macOS microphone mode picker, including Voice Isolation where available, and falls back safely when a route is not compatible. A LOCAL WRITING ASSISTANT Speak a request to draft, explain, shorten, warm up, or translate text. In compatible apps, explicit selection Services can also rewrite or translate text selected by you. macOS provides only that selected text to the service you choose. When you invoke a Kassis Service, clipboard output is used only if you explicitly choose it: Kassis copies the result instead of returning it to the field, then you paste it manually. Choose local engines independently for assistance, rewriting, and translation, or use Apple Intelligence for supported writing tasks on compatible Macs. Kassis does not request Accessibility access to control other apps and does not simulate keyboard events. For a selection action, macOS sends Kassis only the text you explicitly pass to the chosen Service.
