Version 1.7 adds material substitution previews and a clearer path from firing results to your next test. - Material Substitution (Pro): replace one material with the same amount of another and compare the formula, SiO2/Al2O3 ratio, estimated expansion, and Stull position. Estimated cost appears when matching analysis prices are available in one currency. - Save a substitution as a separate draft and version 1 without changing the original recipe or firing logs. - Your kiln map: filter records, expand nearby points, and carry 2–6 selections plus a reference into Comparison Lab. - Condition checks: identify differences and missing records for recipe, analysis, clay body, firing/position, and application. - Controlled Retest (Pro): select one factor and save CTRL/TEST pieces as a new experiment. - Resume-work cards and improved layouts for narrow iPad detail views. The kiln map, condition checks, and resume-work cards are free. Substitution and retest saving are included in existing monthly and annual Pro subscriptions. Calculations and condition checks do not guarantee firing results or reproducibility. Verify with small test batches.
