This update brings a new app icon and refreshed App Store presentation, along with further usability improvements. • New app icon and refreshed visual presentation • Refinements across playback, library browsing, and music • Bug fixes for improved stability and smoother performance

This update brings a brand-new car experience: • New CarPlay interface: browse movies, music, and live TV right on your car screen, with smoother video playback. • Live TV fully rewritten: faster channel loading, more reliable favorites and switching. • Improved music experience: more accurate lyrics, artwork, and playback info. • Better library and source management, plus playback and subtitle fixes.

This update brings a new Library, Live TV and a simpler way to manage your sources. • New Library: manage movie and music sources in one place and check their connection status. Open a media server to go straight to its content, or browse network storage by folder. Star folders and drag cards to reorder them • Source privacy: lock an entire source and reveal it after unlocking with Face ID or a passcode. You can also choose to keep individual sources off the home screen • Live TV: the former Extensions section is now dedicated to IPTV. Import your own playlists, browse channel groups, save favorites, revisit recent channels and hide channels • Redesigned the Add Source screen and made movie and music source management easier to find • Interface improvements: consistent backgrounds and cards, smoother home poster transitions and improved detail page backdrops. Browsing is more fluid, and the home source button no longer flickers • Plex automatically chooses an available connection for your current network and avoids adding the same server twice. Improved connection compatibility with Jellyfin 12

This update is mostly fixes and improvements to playback, casting and media servers. • Plex is now read as a server: films and shows appear by the server's own libraries, with posters, summaries, cast and Continue Watching coming from Plex, and progress synced back. Fixes shows being listed as films • Fixed "The network connection was lost" when signing in with a Plex account • Casting (DLNA): televisions are found more reliably; fixed sets that reacted but never played; choose subtitles and versions while casting; casting continues when you switch apps or lock the screen; long films no longer stop partway • Fixed playback failing or repeatedly reconnecting over SMB on some NAS devices • .strm links now play through the app's own engine, so high-bitrate films no longer stutter • More formats played directly: AV1, MPEG-2 (TS), ProRes and older AVI files • Music: faster start on slow lines, automatic switch when a line stops responding, and a manual line switcher in Music • Detail pages show their poster sooner, and no longer wait on online lookups that are not responding • Fixed Continue Watching missing from the home screen after choosing a source • Several media servers now refresh at the same time instead of one after another

This release rebuilds search, music and settings, and gives Apple TV a new way to get around. • Search is now a page of its own: it looks across every enabled source and each result says where it lives; a series is one row; when you don't know what to watch, filter the whole library by sort order, genre, year and watched state; recent searches are remembered • Fixed sources that were switched off still turning up in search • Music home, album and Now Playing screens redesigned: shuffle, skip and repeat in one row, plus a song info sheet with format and source; Music remembers the source you last chose • Settings home reorganised so common items are easier to find • Apple TV: a tab bar across the top (Search / Home / Movies / TV Shows / Music / Settings), with a full poster wall and filters for movies and for shows; the player is down to one row of buttons and one timeline • Mac: playback controls moved into the bottom bar, versions can be switched inside the player, Now Playing is a two-pane layout; fixed the layout breaking after hiding and showing the sidebar, and source/sort menus that could not be chosen from • Fixed MOV videos shot on iPhone playing sound with a frozen picture • Fixed choppy audio in some MKV files with AAC tracks • Player: a cleaner timeline, version picker moved to the bottom right, one-tap rotation in both orientations • Titles without landscape artwork now show their full poster on the detail page and home instead of a cropped enlargement

This update adds music servers and Whole-Library Privacy. • Music servers: connect Navidrome, Airsonic-Advanced and other Subsonic servers, or Synology Audio Station, and browse and play their libraries right in Music — they never show up in Movies • Whole-Library Privacy: move an entire storage source, Local Files, a whole media server or a single server library into Private Space at once (Private Space → Security & Privacy → Whole-Library Privacy) • Private sources no longer appear on Home, in search, Continue Watching or the source switcher, and can only be browsed after unlocking Private Space. Files on your server or NAS are not touched • Fixed slight stutter when hardware-decoding 24fps dual-layer Dolby Vision titles

New • Plex account sign-in. You authorise on Plex's own page, so your password never passes through this app. The server address comes back with the account, so there is no IP or port to type in. • Filters on the search page. Narrow by genre, year and watched or unwatched, and sort by name or year. • Rename a playback source. Shared configurations tend to name their sources in ways that say nothing about what is inside. Give them a name you recognise, or clear the field to restore the original. • Choose the music source in CarPlay. Pick which library the car reads, so music that lives on a media server finally plays there. • fnOS libraries follow the server's own categories. Films, series, animation and variety shows each stay in their own place. Fixed • A crash when playing local files. If you mount a network share in the Files app and add that folder as local media, a failed read would quit the app outright. • The interface froze while importing a large file and while opening the player. • The appearance setting did not follow the system between light and dark, and some text on the music screen was unreadable in light mode. • Leaving the player and returning dropped playback from dual-layer Dolby Vision to software decoding. • Some series were read incompletely, with wrong episode and season numbers. • A subtitle track chosen by hand in Jellyfin was not picked up here. Changed • Offline downloads have been removed.
