Goetia VM

Cast Solomon's seals as code

$4.99 · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

The seventy-two demon seals of the Lesser Key of Solomon are now executable code. GOETIA//VM reads a seal's stroke geometry the way a compiler reads a circuit board — rectangles become cipher registers, crosses become grounds, crescents accumulate — and compiles the result into a tiny program. Offer a word, invoke, and watch it move through the seal instruction by instruction. Sometimes the output transmutes to AURUM: gematria divisible by 79, gold's atomic number. This is a novelty and educational art project, not a claim of real occult power. Everything is deterministic: no randomness, no server, no network. Same seal, same offering, same answer, every time. The unit tests literally confirm the demons don't work. WHAT'S INSIDE GOETIA SEALS & SATURN PENTACLES — invoke any of four demon seals or four planetary pentacles and watch your offering move through the compiled program in the disassembly and trace panels. PCB VIEW — flip the same seal into copper traces on solder mask, complete with a bill of materials starring a 666-ohm binding resistor. THE RITE — the camera plays the ring of Solomon. Scry a photo, or just name a symptom, to diagnose which of the Testament of Solomon's 36 decan spirits is afflicting you. Then EXPEL it by its recorded counter-formula, BIND it to temple labour, or EVOKE its Goetia ruler up the seven-rung escalation ladder — Conjuration, Constraint, Invocation of the King, the Fire — before granting the License to Depart. THE TEMPLE — bound spirits report to a proof-of-rite ledger, grinding offerings each tick in a hunt for aurum. Hashrate is scripture: a King with 85 legions makes 85 attempts a tick. THE VIGIL — your camera as an instrument: live noise statistics fused into a single Scry Index and tested in real time against Wald's sequential boundaries, with a fear interlock that holds the rite until you're steady. RESEARCHED, NOT INVENTED The ritual layer was built from the primary texts, not imagination: the Testament of Solomon in Conybeare's 1898 translation, the Lemegeton from Peterson's critical edition of the Sloane manuscripts, and the Mathers-Crowley Goetia of 1904. Lamen metals, the escalation ladder, the License to Depart, and the two lost decans honored as lacunae rather than invented — all cross-checked against the source. A one-time preface on first launch explains exactly how far that fidelity goes. PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION No account, no network calls, no analytics, no ads. The camera features used by THE RITE and THE VIGIL process everything on-device and save nothing to your photo library. Nothing you do in this app ever leaves your phone. Built as a native iOS SwiftUI app over a pure Swift core, with dozens of unit tests and simulator UI tests running on every change.

Four sigil plates recut — Furfur, Shax, Bifrons, and Oriax lost a stray border frame that never belonged there; the engraving underneath is untouched. PCB VIEW moved off the mode row and onto the seal canvas itself, where a lens belongs — and its palette now stays inside the grimoire rather than borrowing solder-mask green.
