Point it downhill and don't look back. Schuss is a one-touch alpine descent with a single, honest control and an avalanche on your tail. HOLD to tuck: you drop into the fall line and build speed fast, but you can't steer. RELEASE and the skis bite into a carve — and here's the hook: every release turns the OTHER way. Hold, let go, hold, let go, and the mountain reads like a run of classic slalom, an S-trail ribboning into the snow behind you. The gates keep you honest. Cobalt flags must be passed on their left, poppy-red on their right; string clean gates together for a combo worth bonus meters, and miss one and the slide behind you gains a chunk of ground. Rocks and spruce stands end the run on contact, but the slalom line is always clear — trust the rhythm and stay near it. The avalanche never stops accelerating.
