Fixes for things people reported while using the assistant, and one new way to find your recipes. • The assistant no longer refuses to make a recipe because of a draft you cannot see. It kept asking what to do with a draft that was not on the screen, and there was no way out of the conversation. • Ask for a new recipe while you are editing one, and it now asks what to do with the draft first — keep it or discard it — and makes the recipe you asked for either way. • iOS: a developer message that could appear over the app on launch, more than once, is gone. • Siri recognises the app's name more reliably, however you pronounce it. • Recipes you have saved or created can now be found from your phone's own search, and open straight to the recipe. Recipely now works with Siri and the Shortcuts app. • Say "Ask Recipely" and ask anything about cooking. When the answer is something to hear, Siri answers right there without opening the app. When it needs the app — a search, a recipe — Recipely opens and does it for you. • Ten ready-made shortcuts in the Shortcuts app and Spotlight: open a recipe, save or like it, read the ingredients, hear the next step, start the timer, create or import a recipe, and open My Recipes. • Siri phrases and shortcut names are available in all 14 of the app's languages. • Copy a recipe into your own drafts and make it yours. • A recipe you have just published no longer says it has no nutrition information while the figures are still being calculated. You can add a photo to a recipe you have already published — and a run of assistant fixes, every one of them reported by people using it. • Add a photo after publishing. Open your recipe, tap the camera on the picture and choose a new one. Every photo is checked before it goes up. • The keyboard no longer covers the assistant's conversation. Typing to it pushed both the chat and the box you type into underneath the keyboard — on tablets as well as phones. • Typing to the assistant from the recipe list works. It used to fail every time and tell you the request had not arrived. • Asking it to change a draft changes that draft, instead of starting a new recipe over the top of the one you were writing. • "Make it for eight people" now rescales the ingredients along with the serving count. The assistant can read the screen you are on. • Ask it to read the page. A draft you are still writing, a recipe, your own list, your notifications, your settings — it reads out what is there. It no longer tells you to save or open something you are already looking at. • It reads a draft's ingredients and steps, not only a published recipe's. A recipe it has just written for you can be read back before you publish it. • "Save" in the recipe editor now means what the button means: it asks you to confirm, then publishes. • When something goes wrong, it sends the report itself. Say "tell the developers" and it goes — with the error and the screen you were on attached. You no longer have to find the feedback form. • It reads the comments under a recipe along with the rest of the page. • "Refresh" works on the home feed, as it already did on your recipes and your notifications. • When it cannot do something, it says so, instead of guessing where a button might be. Cook by talking, with your hands in the dough. The voice assistant has been reworked from end to end in this release. • You can interrupt it. Speak while it is talking and it stops to listen — no waiting for the answer to finish. • It reads the recipe to you. Ask for the ingredients, the next step, the nutrition figures or how long something takes. Asking it to read no longer ticks the step off; reading and checking off are separate again. • It drives search, filters and sorting by voice: show me Turkish food, only the easy ones, sort by newest. Cuisine, difficulty and sort choices are actually applied now. • It saves and likes a recipe — and unliking really unlikes. • It scrolls as much as you asked: a little further, back to the top, all the way down. Where it cannot scroll, it no longer claims it did. • It does not report work it has not done. When something fails, it tells you. • It starts on the first tap and warns you before your speaking time runs out. • It will not open links that leave the app, such as the privacy policy and terms — it says plainly that it cannot. • It knows every screen it can reach, including the featured recipes on the home page.
