Five new languages OpenTV is now available in Arabic, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese (Brazil), alongside English — 777 keys, hand-translated rather than machine-run, with the correct plural forms for each language (Arabic needs six). Arabic mirrors the entire layout right to left, not just the text. Two films with the same title no longer fight each other Adding one could silently tick the other as watched, and the second film could never be added at all — the database was treating them as a single entry. Each is now its own film. Films from TheTVDB show their full details A film matched through TheTVDB used to open to a blank screen. It now shows runtime, genres, release date and artwork like any other title. A tap that does nothing now says why Trying to add something the app can't yet identify used to be silent. It now tells you what's missing. Arabic fixes found on a real phone A round of layout and text corrections found by actually using the app in Arabic, not just reading the code.

Anime seasons are right again OpenTV now takes episode numbering from TheTVDB — the same database TV Time was built on, and the one your export uses. Detective Conan is 34 seasons again instead of a single list of 1,208 episodes, and your watches sit on the episodes you actually watched. Names, artwork, genres and cast come from there too, so anime finally gets real characters instead of voice actors. Episodes you never watched are gone TV Time's per-show counter is unreliable — on one library it claimed 84 watched episodes of a show its own records listed none for. OpenTV believed it and invented the rest. It now checks the counter against what the export actually lists and refuses to guess, so your episode count may drop. That drop is the fix. Films match far better Your export gives a film's title and nothing else, so "Superman" or "Ghostbusters" matched several real films and OpenTV gave up on all of them. The date you watched it now settles which one it is. Anything decided by inference rather than certainty is listed under Settings → Review matched movies, so a library of unmatched films is a short confirmation list instead of hundreds of manual searches. Two films sharing a title no longer overwrite each other. Upcoming movies Films you've added that aren't out yet live in their own tab with a countdown, instead of cluttering your watch list. Lists Create, rename and delete them, add shows and films by search, and drag to reorder. Re-importing never undoes your edits. Reminders worth keeping on Season and series finale alerts, a nudge when you're an episode or two from finishing a season, a Friday movie-night reminder, and a come-back reminder after a week away — but only when episodes are actually waiting. Each one is separately switchable. Sharing TV Time-style share cards for shows, episodes and films, saved as a real image. Built for iPad Rotates, and lays out for the screen instead of stretching a phone design across it. On a large iPad a show or film opens beside your library rather than covering it. Also in this release Reminders are now offered when you open the app, instead of hiding in Settings. Two seasons can stay open at once. Pull past the top of a show, episode or film to close it. Matching a title actually looks like it worked — and can no longer wipe the artwork it already had. Search your own library from the Shows and Movies grids. Unreleased episodes show the wait instead of a checkbox you could tick by accident. "Stop watching" now removes a show from the Watch List. Browser-extension exports import properly. A ZIP that can't be read reports a real error instead of a cheerful "0 imported". No more lag after switching apps. Your whole library is browsable offline.
