I love that this looks and feels just like TV Time! I’ve been trying out a bunch of apps and none of them feel the same. All my data imported great, there’s just a few inconsistencies I wish I could edit …the three dots in the upper right hand corner of a show don’t work so I can’t edit lists. Add/remove shows on my favorites list doesn’t work. Some shows are showing up as not completed on my watch next but when you click on them they say completed. Small issues but if these could be fixed and I could start editing my favorites / watch list I’m staying!!

Thank you so much — this genuinely means a lot! Feeling "just like TV Time" was the whole goal. 💛You're on version 1.1.0, our very first release, and a lot has been fixed since. The two you mentioned — the ⋯ menu (so you can edit your lists) and adding/removing favourites — are both fixed in the update that's in Apple's review right now, landing any day. The moment you see the new version, update and you'll be able to edit your favourites and lists. The "not completed in Watch Next but completed when you open it" one is an old counter that can stick after importing — it's already better, and I'm making it correct itself automatically in the very next update.I'm a solo dev and I fix these fast, so please stick around — and once you've updated, let me know if anything's still off. Thank you for giving OpenTV a real try! 🙏if you still facing same issues you always can dm me on telegram or discord or other my username is mahmoodbashar08
Great TV Time alternative

I’ve tried more than 10 TV-tracking apps, and I was so happy to find OpenTV because it’s very similar to TV Time. I especially love that we can import our TV Time data. The imported information isn’t completely accurate yet, and there are still a few things to improve, but I’m patient and excited to see how the app develops. Thank you for creating it!
Was unable to import data til the developer reached out with a solution.

Hi Amanda, I'm really sorry the import let you down — that's the one thing OpenTV has to get right, and I want to fix this for you personally. When everything imports as "0," it's almost always the type of file, not your data. Please make sure you're using the full GDPR data export from TV Time (the ZIP they email when you request "all your data"), not a screenshot or partial export — the app reads the CSV files inside that specific ZIP.If you're already using that file and it still shows 0, I'd love to look into it with you and get it sorted. You can reach me directly on Discord, Telegram, or Instagram — @mahmoodbashar08 on all three. Send me your export and I'll walk you through it, and if there's a bug with your particular file I'll fix the importer and push an update fast. You shouldn't have to add anything by hand — let's get your full history back. Thanks for giving OpenTV a try.— Mahmood, OpenTV
Five new languages
OpenTV is now available in Arabic, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese (Brazil), alongside English — 777 keys, hand-translated rather than machine-run, with the correct plural forms for each language (Arabic needs six). Arabic mirrors the entire layout right to left, not just the text.
Two films with the same title no longer fight each other
Adding one could silently tick the other as watched, and the second film could never be added at all — the database was treating them as a single entry. Each is now its own film.
Films from TheTVDB show their full details
A film matched through TheTVDB used to open to a blank screen. It now shows runtime, genres, release date and artwork like any other title.
A tap that does nothing now says why
Trying to add something the app can't yet identify used to be silent. It now tells you what's missing.
Arabic fixes found on a real phone
A round of layout and text corrections found by actually using the app in Arabic, not just reading the code.
