Tap Subscription on the Spending screen to see how many repeat, what they cost every month and every year, every scheduled charge due in the next 30 days, and the next date for each one. Tap a row to edit the bill you already entered — there is no second list to maintain. First launch now says the quiet part clearly: track up to 20 bills free, then Unlimited is a one-time purchase. No trial, no recurring fee, and no bank connection.

See what the repeating bills actually cost. Tag a bill as a subscription, loan, utility, rent or insurance, and the new Spending screen totals what repeats — by month, by year, and by category. A $15.99 subscription reads as $191.88 a year, which is the number that changes minds. Weekly and every-two-week bills are averaged across the year instead of being rounded to 52 or 26 payments. Bills with no amount yet are counted and shown, never quietly treated as zero. Your CSV export now carries the category too, and files exported by earlier versions still import exactly as before. Also fixed: an amount typed with a minus sign is no longer accepted, and the free limit can no longer be stepped past in the moment before the App Store confirms a purchase.

Look back at any month. Every payment you've marked has been recorded since day one — now there's a place to read it. History lists each month with what was paid and what was left unpaid, side by side. The calendar shows past months too, instead of going blank once a bill moves on. Bills can now say which account pays them, and the list can group by it. Also fixed: a slow App Store lookup could leave a paying customer locked out of a purchase they'd already made.

Bills is now a native iPad app, laid out for every orientation instead of running in iPhone compatibility mode. Reminders are more reliable. A scheduling failure used to be discarded silently, which meant a due-date reminder could simply never arrive with nothing to show why. Failures are now caught and logged. New: Bills Unlimited, an optional one-time purchase. The free version tracks up to 20 bills. Every bill you already track stays visible, editable and payable - the limit only ever applies to adding new ones. Installed Bills before this update? You keep unlimited bills for free, for good.
