Nano: Safe AI for Kids
Ask, learn & create
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Big questions. Wild ideas. Nano gives curious kids a safe place to ask, learn and create, while parents stay in the loop.
Nano is a friendly AI made for children aged 6 to 12: a little robot who loves questions, stories and big ideas. Every child is curious. Nano gives that curiosity somewhere kind to go.
ASK ANYTHING
Why is the sky blue? Why do zebras have stripes? Where do dreams come from? Nano listens carefully and explains things in a way that fits your child's age. Children can type their questions or simply ask out loud.
CREATE SOMETHING
Nano isn't only for questions. Children can invent stories, dream up creatures, make their own colouring pages and turn their ideas into pictures. Everything they create is kept in one place, ready to come back to.
HOMEWORK HELP THAT BUILDS UNDERSTANDING
Nano helps children work things out instead of handing over the answer. Step by step, with patience and explanations they can follow.
SERIOUS ABOUT SAFETY
Safety is where we started, not something we added later. Every reply passes through several independent safety layers before your child sees it. Difficult topics are handled with care, and when something needs a grown-up, Nano encourages children to turn to someone they trust.
We measure safety, too. In our own test runs using KORA's public child-safety benchmark, Nano scored 96%. For comparison, the best any general-purpose AI has scored on KORA's public leaderboard is 70%.
PARENTS STAY IN THE LOOP
• A weekly summary of the topics your child explored
• A direct heads-up when something important comes up
• Pause Nano anytime, from any device
• Add notes about your child, so Nano can meet them where they are You don't need to read every conversation. When something important comes up, Nano lets you know.
Oversight, not surveillance.
WHAT YOU WON'T FIND IN NANO
• No ads. Not in the app, not in the answers.
• No open internet, no feeds, no endless scrolling.
• No data selling. Your child's questions are not a product.
• Nano is always clear that it's an AI, and encourages children to turn to the people they trust when it matters. MADE IN GERMANY. HOSTED IN EUROPE.
Nano is built in Germany by SafeCircles, a company that makes privacy-first apps for children and families. Everything runs under European data protection law: your child's conversations stay in Europe, and are never used to train AI models.
Made for curious children aged 6 to 12.
