鉄のカーテンの向こうから、今日も暗号電文が届く。
『鉄のカーテン』は、冷戦時代の暗号解読官になりきって傍受電文を読み解く、本格派の暗号パズルゲームです。あなたは中央暗号局の解読員。上官フロストの指令のもと、西側から傍受した暗号を一つずつ解き明かしていきます。
【6種類の暗号方式を、基礎から上級まで】
・シーザー暗号（レベル1）文字を一定数ずらす、暗号の第一歩
・数字置換暗号（レベル2）Aを1、Bを2に置き換える
・モールス信号（レベル2）短点と長点の組み合わせを読む
・換字式暗号（レベル3）文字を1対1で別の文字に置き換える
・転置式暗号（レベル3）文字の並び順を入れ替える
・ヴィジュネル暗号（レベル4）鍵語でずらし幅が変わる難関
方式ごとに専用の入力パネル（ダイヤル、対応表、文字の割り当てなど）を用意。仕組みを知らなくても、遊びながら自然に解き方が身につきます。
【全6章、120任務のやり込み】
各章20問、合計120問。章が進むごとに少しずつ難しくなります。詰まったら「1文字開示」「鍵のヒント」で前に進めます。
【諜報員として昇進せよ】
任務をこなすと、見習い諜報員から最高位の中央局長まで、7段階の階級が昇進。肩章で自分の位が一目でわかります。
【解いて終わりじゃない、学べる】
解読した電文（KGB、SPUTNIK など）には日本語の意味を表示。冷戦の空気にふれながら、暗号の知識も自然と身につきます。
