Three fixes, and two tools you can read again on a light stage. • Fixed: storyboard images did not reach everyone in shared projects — and could even overwrite images that were already there. The app now tells "still on its way" apart from "deleted", and keeps what you have. • Fixed: switching from a scene with an imported floor plan to one without zoomed the view far too far out, leaving the new scene as a speck in the middle. The old floor plan was still being counted in. • The ruler is legible on a light stage again: line, points and measurement in dark amber instead of pale yellow. • On a light stage, the camera's direction cone now has a dark outline. It used to be the same grey as the camera body — of all things the viewing direction, the first thing you look for on a camera. The setup colour is preserved.

Colour labels for scenes. Every scene in the projects menu gets a colour dot - five colours plus "none". What they mean is up to you: done, needs another pass, check with the director. The colour sits as a slim stripe along the edge of the scene, so when you page through a long list you see at a glance how far along you are. Above the list there is a filter with a count per colour - including "unlabelled", which is usually the real question. Labels travel over iCloud and are visible to everyone in a shared project. You set them on Mac and iPad; on iPhone you see the colour. Also: - Fixed: resizing the boom lift made it jump to a larger size - until it could not be scaled down at all. This affected every prop with moving parts (stairs, ladder, shelf, kitchen run, hedge, dolly track, window front). The size slider in the object panel now covers the same range as the handles. - On iPhone, scenes can no longer be moved or copied between projects. On the small screen it was too fiddly - on Mac and iPad nothing changes.

Props now have materials. Wood has grain, stone is matt, metal has a hard sheen, glass reads blue, upholstery comes in fabric colours. Everything used to be the same grey, and twelve pieces of furniture were built from the same two circles - on the plan you could only tell them apart by size. Now each one has its own mark: growth rings on the round table, drawers on the dresser, hobs on the cooker, bars on the cot. 36 props are new: - Animals - dog, cat, horse, cow, sheep, chicken, plus aquarium and dog bed. - Tableware and decor - laid tables for four and six, plus plates, glasses, cutlery, carafe, vases, flowers, candles, picture frames and mirrors. - Living room - arc lamp, pouf, sideboard, two coffee tables, two rugs, house plants. All at true size: a water glass is 7 cm and stays that way. If you prefer it quieter, turn the material off - per prop or for the whole stage. The plan then goes back to plain outlines. Also: - Scenes can be moved and copied between projects - on Mac and iPad just grab the clapper icon and drag them across, on iPhone through the menu. - Rotate and scale several objects at once. Distances and furniture grow with it, while characters and cameras keep their size - a person is 1.80 m, even in an enlarged seating group. - Reading a screenplay, saving and opening now show how far along they are.

Small fixes. • Scene list: after picking from the dropdowns (INT/EXT, time of day) the sorting stayed frozen — changed scene numbers no longer moved into place. Fixed. • The "previous/next scene" arrows now follow the order the scene picker shows, instead of the order the scenes were created in. • Background images can be scaled up to 1000 % (was 500 %). The slider is spaced differently so fine adjustment around 100 % stays fine; double-click it to reset to 100 %.

One scene, one line. Scenes are now named the way they are on set: "23 · INT. KITCHEN · NIGHT". Number, INT/EXT, location and time of day are the line — no second name next to it. Page and shoot day sit discreetly behind it, a summary only if there is one. Existing names are not lost: they become the location or the summary. New on the plan: • Boom lift as a prop — extend and swing the arm right at the basket on the plan. • Lights can be scaled up, from a practical to a 6×6. • Prop colour: 16 colours to pick from, plus a custom colour with hue, saturation and lightness. Also: • Interface size (90–150 %) under Stage → View — for high-resolution displays, remembered per device. • Inserting a template keeps scene number, script text, shoot day and folder. Templates appear at the right size immediately. • Waypoints can be placed on curved dolly tracks too; "FoV off" now also applies at waypoints. • Duplicate and delete in the projects menu are clearer, with an explanation on hover. • iPhone: tidier scene card in portrait, version number in the help.

Bug fix: with the scale set to 2 m per grid square or coarser, the app could crash while drawing walls — and then stay black on every iCloud-synced device at every start. Fixed. Thanks to the user whose error report from 1.6 led us straight to it. Also since 1.6: if the app runs into an error, it shows a message with "Save and export project" instead of a black screen — and starts in safe mode next time, without the last opened project.

Take the whole room into the next scene. The walls menu now has "Copy walls" and "Paste walls": all walls and openings of a scene carry over to another one, scale included - at the same position. If you have scanned or drawn a room, you no longer draw it again for the next scene. Also: - Duplicate a whole project - same name with the suffix (COPY), same folder, all scenes and settings. - Compact sheet and "All scenes - one page each": the plan gets as much space as possible, and the shot list always stays complete and readable. - Dolly tracks and walking paths now sit above furniture, not below it. The direction arrows on them stand out clearly. - The ring at a character's waypoint now always sits outside the character - on finely scaled plans it used to disappear inside it. - Objects are less twitchy to grab: a click that wobbles no longer moves anything. And a double-click right after letting go no longer duplicates - if you grab again right away, you want to keep moving.

Objects can now be dragged straight onto the plan. Character, camera, light, prop, door or window: grab it in the menu, drag it onto the stage, let go — it sits exactly there. On the Mac the mouse drags right away, on iPad your finger after a short hold. The previous way (pick it in the menu, then tap the stage) is unchanged and still there. Also fixed: • The sensor format from the project settings did not stick. It was not saved reliably, not read back when opening a project, and missing from backups. Same cause, same bug: the setting carried over into the next project, and a change made on iPad never reached the Mac. • Dragging your own PNG props let the browser take over the gesture instead of keeping the object on the pointer. • On iPad the drag broke off as soon as your hand drifted up or down — the list scrolled instead of following. This affected storyboard frames from the shot list too.

Now on iPhone. back-to-one now runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac — with an interface built for the phone, not a shrunken one. Plan, shot list, script and viewfinder sit where your thumb can reach them. • Room scan: where LiDAR is available, the app captures the room and turns it into a usable floor plan — as editable walls or as a background image, including doors, windows and openings. • Viewfinder: live image in the project's aspect ratio, focal-length wheel from your lens set, shutter. The frame lands on the shot of the camera you picked. • Storyboard frames on the plan: drag an image from the shot list onto the diagram — it stays where you drop it, and a thin line ties it to its camera. • Works offline: open, edit and save projects in airplane mode. iCloud catches up as soon as you are back online. • Language: the app picks up your device language on first launch, and you can switch it on any device. Plus many smaller improvements to the plan, the animation and the export.

Scale, measuring, and German shot sizes • The grid has a scale. You decide how many metres one grid square stands for, and a scale bar appears at the bottom left if you want it. It is aligned to the grid — so you can count squares — and it now also travels into the PDF and the exported image, where it is most useful. • New ruler in the toolbar: tap two points, read the distance. It snaps to object centres and wall corners so the number is actually right. • Metres or feet and inches, set per project. • An imported floor plan can now be moved: switch on "Align background" in the stage panel, drag the image into place, switch the mode off again. • German shot sizes are now actually German in the German app. Two additional sizes were added to complete the ladder. • In the shot list the focal length now sits next to the shot size, and the estimated shooting time has a row of its own. • Fixed: with camera setups, the shooting times of the individual cameras were added up. Cameras in a setup shoot simultaneously, so the time belongs to the setup and is no longer counted more than once. • Fixed: exporting an image could produce black borders if you had zoomed out beforehand. • The "Movement" column is gone from the Excel, CSV and HTML exports. It only held technical abbreviations, and what the camera does is told by the camera symbols and movement paths in the plan. • The help has a new chapter "Scale & measuring" and now also covers the context menu, the zoom slider and the aspect ratio.

Aspect ratio, and one stubborn click • Every project now has an aspect ratio — 2.39:1, 1.85:1, 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, or one you type in yourself. Storyboard images now appear everywhere in the frame you are actually shooting: in the shot list, in the plan PDF, on the storyboard page and in presentation mode. The framing can be shifted, and the original image is kept in full — nothing is cut away. • Fixed: dragging a slider and releasing outside the window closed that window unintentionally. This also affected selecting text in the project settings. • The settings gear is larger and easier to spot. Existing projects start at 16:9. If you shoot in a different format, set it once in the project settings.

Order in large projects • Folders can now be collapsed and expanded — in the project list as well as for the scenes inside a project. A collapsed folder shows how much it holds, and the view stays the way you left it. On a series with several seasons, you only see what you are working on right now. • On iPad, storyboard images and floor plans can now be taken straight with the camera or picked from your photo library — no longer only from the Files app. A sketch from set makes it into the right shot in seconds. • The App Store listing now correctly lists the app as available in German and English.
