NEW IN PLUS • Analytics — where the household's money actually goes. Spending by category and by member, month by month, how much of what's been billed is paid, and how much of your total is fixed recurring commitment. Every figure comes from bills already in the app. • Household Budget — whether you can afford this month, not just what you spent. Enter your monthly income once and see what's left after expected bills, groceries and other expenses. • Insights — your household's own numbers in plain language: what stands out, what's coming, and what to do about a particular bill. • Bill forecasting — each category's usual range, learned from its own history, so a variable bill can be planned for before it arrives. • PDF reports — a printable month-by-month record with totals, alongside the existing CSV. FREE FOR EVERYONE • Payment reminders — a bill's owner or a household admin can nudge a housemate who hasn't settled, from a bell on the bill. It carries their share and nothing more, and nobody is chased for money already paid. • Better due-date reminders — now on a ladder at seven days, three days, the day before, and the day itself, each telling you your own share and whether you've paid it. Previously one notice went to everyone alike. • Bill notes — a meter reading, a reference number, what the charge was for. Multi-line, and visible to everyone sharing the bill. • Billing period — now a field you can see and correct, rather than whatever the invoice scan decided. • Payment remarks — multi-line, and available whenever you add a payment. They previously appeared only after attaching a receipt photo, so paying in cash left you nothing to say. CHANGES TO THE FREE TIER The free tier now has limits where it had none: six households, six members per household, twelve bills tracked at once, one recurring series, thirty days of bill history, and three bill scans a day. A bill you still owe money on is never hidden by the history limit at any age — only settled ones fall outside it. Bill scanning and CSV export used to be unlimited. Scanning keeps a free daily allowance; export is now part of Plus. If you've relied on either, that's a real change, and better read here than discovered. FIXED • Leaving a household now actually stops its notifications. Bills kept you on their lists indefinitely, so people were still hearing about households they'd left months earlier. • A recurring bill no longer charges someone who has left, or reserves their share — which could stop a bill ever reaching settled. • Saving a new bill with an invoice photo attached now works. It failed every time, with only "Something went wrong" to go on. • Tapping a notification for a bill you can't open now explains itself instead of showing a blank screen, and no longer switches you into a household you've left.

The invoice photo on a bill is now framed the way you want it, and removing one finally sticks. NEW — Frame the invoice photo before it's saved (Move and Scale, drag/pinch, in the exact banner the bill shows). The whole photo is always kept; framing only decides what you see at a glance. Re-framable later from Edit Bill. IMPROVED — The form's preview is now the same picture the bill shows · saving a full-screen image goes through the share sheet · "Invoice or bill" and "Share with" explain themselves · menus show a chevron. FIXED — Removing an invoice actually removes it · Monthly → "None" and "No due date" off now stick · a photo that can't be prepared says so instead of saving silently.

NEW • Attach the invoice or bill itself. Add a photo when you create the bill or later from Edit Bill, from your camera or your library, and replace or remove it whenever. Bill Detail shows it above the title; tap to open it full-screen and pinch to read the small print. • Narrow the bills list by payment progress, by category, or by word. "Partially paid" covers any bill with money on it that isn't finished, including overdue ones. A filled funnel beside the sort control tells you a filter is on, so a short list is never a mystery. • Open a payment to see the whole picture. Tap anyone's settled row for who paid, how much, which method, when, any note, and the proof at full size. On your own row there's an Edit button, and the proof you already saved appears there with a Replace action — so you can see what's attached before you change it. IMPROVED • The tab bar is now a floating bar in the iOS 26 style, inset from the edges with your bills scrolling underneath it, and every tap answers with haptic feedback. It steps out of the way while a bill is open, where it used to cover the "Add Contribution" button. • Every confirmation — logging out, deleting a bill, leaving a household, removing a member — is now solid and full-contrast. They previously rendered so faintly over the dimmed screen that the buttons looked switched off. • The keyboard closes on a tap anywhere outside it, on every screen. The bill amount uses a number pad, which has no return key, so there was previously no way off it at all. • Adding someone to a bill asks its two questions in one place, and a sign-in problem now appears directly under the password field instead of below the "Forgot password?" link. FIXED • "Choose from Library" now opens your photos when you're attaching an invoice. It did nothing at all before, while "Take Photo" beside it worked. • A bill's own creator is no longer asked which payment method they used, or shown one afterwards. They're paying themselves, so there's no one to pay and no method to record. • A note on a payment can be edited without re-attaching the photo, and choosing a library photo now shows progress while it loads and says so if it fails. • A bill you removed from your own list no longer counts towards your household's total, your CSV export, or the paid and due figures on the Me tab. It used to be gone from the list and still counted everywhere else. • The camera fills the screen when you photograph a receipt or a bill, and the last bill in the list can now be scrolled clear of the tab bar. PRIVACY AND SECURITY • Strengthened the rules protecting your profile, your payment details and who may settle or re-split a bill.

Bills can now be split the way your household actually splits them. NEW • Watch a bill without paying for it. Add anyone as a watcher and they see the bill, its activity and every update — but owe nothing and stay out of the split. Three people on a bill with one watching is a two-way split, not a three-way one. • Split by custom amounts. Instead of dividing evenly, type what each person owes. A banner tracks how much of the bill is still unassigned, so the shares always add up to the total. • Set the whole split in one place. Choose who's paying, who's watching and who owes what on a single Edit split screen, and see each person's share on their row as you go. • The Household tab now opens with your household's name and the total it has billed across every bill. IMPROVED • Changing a bill — its amount, its name, or how it's split — is recorded in the activity feed and sent as a notification, so nothing changes quietly. • Anyone who has already paid towards a bill can no longer be dropped from it, so a recorded payment is never left stranded. • If you're only watching a bill, BillShare stops asking you to pay a share you don't owe. You still get every update about it. • Switch Household and Leave Household now sit on the household card, next to the household they act on. FIXED • Your share follows the bill's current amount. Re-pricing a bill now correctly updates Total Outstanding, your Fair share, and the Ahead/Behind tile — they could previously stay stuck at the original split. • Total Outstanding keeps the remainder of a share you only partly paid, instead of writing it off the moment any money moved. • Ahead/Behind compares what you paid against your share, so covering a whole bill on everyone's behalf reads as ahead rather than break-even. • A bill you switch to Monthly after creating it now actually repeats.
