Smalti is the shift app for people who actually work shifts — not a planner you have to maintain, just the answer to "when do I work next, and can someone cover Thursday?"
Note: Smalti works with employers who use Smalti for scheduling. You'll need an invitation from your workplace to sign in — you can't create an account on your own.
YOUR NEXT SHIFT, WITHOUT DIGGING
Open the app and it's the first thing you see, with a live countdown. Times show in your work location's timezone, and in yours when they differ — so a shift doesn't quietly move an hour when you're travelling.
TRADE SHIFTS WITHOUT THE GROUP TEXT
Post a shift to the marketplace as a give-away or a swap. Coworkers who hold the right position and are free at that time can claim it straight away.
Eligibility and conflicts are checked before anyone commits — so nobody claims a shift they aren't qualified for, or one that collides with a shift they already have. A claimed shift is a settled shift.
MESSAGE YOUR TEAM, NOT THEIR PHONE NUMBERS
Every position at your location has its own group. Messages arrive live. No personal numbers get shared, and there's no second chat app to install and mute.
SAY WHEN YOU CAN'T WORK
Set the hours you're unavailable and request time off — one-offs, or patterns that repeat. Your manager sees it while they're building the schedule, not after.
IT WORKS WHEN YOUR SIGNAL DOESN'T
Your shifts, notifications and messages are stored on your device. Walk into a stockroom, a basement kitchen, a car park — they're still there. Everything catches up when you're back on signal.

After the first sign-in, unlock with Face ID or Touch ID.
FOR MANAGERS AND SCHEDULERS
Building the rota, approving trades and time off, and managing your team happens in the Smalti web console. Staff use this app; you'll get a link when your workplace is set up.
