• Profiles are here! Your profile now shows your sound signature: an orb born from what you’ve played over the last 30 days. It takes its colors from your three most-played sounds; reverb-heavy sounds scatter its dots, and 8D lovers get an orbit around theirs. While music plays, your orb spins faster. Your playlists live on your profile too: make your own and play every track in its own sound, or the whole playlist in one. • Add your friends! Create your profile, pick a username, then find friends by their @username or have them scan the QR code on your profile card. Once a request is accepted, you’re friends. See who’s listening to what right now, and in which sound; try that sound on your own track with one tap, send an emoji reaction and share playlists with each other. You choose what friends see: track and sound, sound only, or nothing — and you can listen privately whenever you like. Signing in is optional; your email is never shown and your music files stay on your device. • A brand-new look, top to bottom! The Player, Library, Discover and Settings have all been redesigned, and every sound mode now has its own cover. • 8D sounds better than ever. The whole song now moves around your head: ear to ear, in front of you and behind you. Put your headphones on and listen. • The sound no longer dips when the bass hits. In Bass Boost, Concert and every mode that boosts the bass, vocals and music hold steady on every beat, and the bass punches harder — in the car, too. • The Library has been revamped! • Meet Discover: search original songs by independent artists on Audius and hear them with your effects right away — no file needed. Tap + and choose Discover. • Link a folder: link a folder such as Downloads once, and every song in it comes to your Library. New songs you add there appear each time you open the app, and files aren’t copied. • Critical bugs have been fixed.

8D sound, perfected. It used to just sweep from one ear to the other. Now it lifts the backing vocals and ad-libs out of your track and sends them the opposite way — on headphones the difference is obvious. Mode changes are far smoother, and the crackle you could hear when switching is gone. Critical bugs have been fixed. Dreamy, Lo-Fi and Midnight each have a character of their own now, and the effects blend more naturally with the music.
