A refreshed App Store presentation for WonderRoll’s two photography experiences: Darkroom Film and Instant Paper, with an updated viewfinder and aperture-control overview.

WonderRoll 2.2 brings real aperture control to the film-camera ritual. • On iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max running iOS 27, adjust the main camera’s variable aperture or leave it on Auto. Choose how much light enters the lens and shape natural depth of field before you shoot. • Tap through focus, exposure, shutter speed and aperture in the redesigned manual control strip, with tactile feedback and quick resets. Aperture controls appear only on supported cameras. • Export and import roll packages to carry your photographs and shooting information together. • Improved recovery after interrupted development, smoother opening of large developed rolls, and upright portrait frames in roll packages. Shoot first. See later.

WonderRoll 2.1 brings the front camera to the viewfinder. • Switch to the front camera with one tap in the lens selector. • Frame selfies exactly as they will be exposed—the saved photo matches what you saw. • Manual focus now steps aside on fixed-focus cameras instead of showing a distance the lens cannot use.

WonderRoll 2.0 introduces Instant Paper — a simpler way to shoot without giving up the anticipation. - Choose between Instant Paper and Darkroom Film. - Load 8-sheet paper packs, each with its own development time. - Keep every shot hidden while it develops automatically in the background. - Browse finished prints in a dedicated instant print library. - Discard unused sheets and switch paper packs whenever you like. - Privately back up unscanned negatives, developed images, rolls, and instant paper packs to iCloud. - Enjoy complete Simplified Chinese localization. - Experience refined, adaptive layouts across iPhone and iPad. Instant Paper intentionally produces softer detail, more visible grain, and less tonal range. For the clearest scans and richest texture, choose the complete Darkroom Film experience.

What’s New in WonderRoll 1.2 WonderRoll is now available in Simplified Chinese.
