Keep any app window visible as a compact, always-on-top reference while working across apps and desktops. Pocket Screen keeps up to two Mac windows visible in compact, always-on-top floating views while you work in another app. Use it to follow a tutorial, monitor a dashboard, reference a document, watch a video, or keep a chat or terminal log in sight without constantly switching windows. KEY FEATURES • Keep up to two windows visible at once • Switch the selected PiP to the frontmost window with a shortcut • Enjoy smoother PiP switching and Space transitions with fewer temporary black frames • Use Focus View to select and magnify only the part of a window you need • Temporarily hide and restore all PiPs with one shortcut • Set opacity independently for each PiP • Choose Energy Saver, Standard, or Smooth update quality for each PiP • Freeze and resume a floating view • Enable click-through mode • Move, resize, and snap PiPs around your workspace • Restore PiP positions across Spaces and multiple displays • Use PiPs across apps and groups with Stage Manager • Open automatically at login STAGE MANAGER SUPPORT When Stage Manager is enabled, Pocket Screen can automatically place the selected source window in a native full-screen Space. Its PiP remains visible while you switch between apps and Stage Manager groups. You can switch the source of either PiP while keeping the other PiP active. When you close an individual PiP or close all PiPs, Pocket Screen restores source windows for which it initiated the full-screen transition and returns you to your workspace. Finder windows are not yet supported as PiP sources while Stage Manager is active. Please choose a window from another app. On first use, macOS may ask you to allow Pocket Screen in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility. This permission is used only to send the standard macOS full-screen shortcut to the selected application. Pocket Screen does not monitor or record keyboard input. Known limitation: When Google Chrome or another Chromium-based browser is used with Stage Manager, embedded video may stop or appear black after the source window moves to an inactive full-screen Space. Safari is recommended for video playback with this Stage Manager workflow. Pocket Screen processes captured windows locally on your Mac. Captured content is not sent externally. No account or subscription is required. Use Pocket Screen free for up to 10 minutes per launch. Unlock unlimited use with a one-time in-app purchase. Requires macOS 14.0 or later.
