NaamAmrit is a beautiful, private mantra counter for daily naam jaap — whether you chant aloud, count on a mala, or sit in silence. Most apps just make you tap a screen 108 times. NaamAmrit lets you count the way you actually practice.

• Say it — hands-free. Softly say or whisper your naam and the app recognizes each one for an exact count. Works with any earbuds or just the phone mic.
• Chant — hands-free, screen off. Say your naam and it counts each by sound, so it keeps counting with the phone in your pocket, eyes closed and hands free.
• Phone tilt — hold the phone loosely and tip it gently, once per naam; motion counts it, eyes closed. No watch needed.

Upāṃśu (whispered) keeps up with faster whispering, and now starts and stops on your command.
Fixed: on some devices, hands-free "Say it" would not begin listening the first time after install.
