A NEW LOOK Poing has been rebuilt as a sports hall: navy ground, one lime line, and scoreboard type you can read from across the room. The menu leads with the rally and lists the three ways to play with other people, each carrying the rule that makes it make sense. HOW IT WORKS A short explainer the first time you open the app, and on the "?" after that, because "bounce a real ball on the screen" is the part nobody believes until someone tells them. FIXED A crash when a rally was started straight from the explainer.

TABLE SHOT — A NEW WAY TO PLAY Lay your phone face up at the far end of a table and bounce a real ball onto it from the other end. Play solo for your longest run of landed shots, or split into two teams: land one and the other side loses a life. Calibrate once per table so Poing can tell a landed shot from a near miss. A new Game Center leaderboard keeps your best Table Shot streak. Also: Po!ng is now simply Poing.

Po!ng is now a party game for the whole room. PASS & PLAY — 2 to 4 players, one phone Hand the phone around and take turns. Four ways to settle it: • Rounds — 1, 3 or 5 rounds, best total wins. • Elimination — lowest score each round drops out, last one standing wins. • Beat that — clear the score in front of you or you're out, and the bar keeps rising with every turn. • Race — turn scores add up; first to 50, 100 or 200 wins. Score a turn on longest rally or highest hop. A guest's turn never becomes your personal best or your leaderboard entry. DUEL — two phones, one real ball Pair two iPhones and volley a real ball between them, each phone a paddle. Play first to 5, 7 or 11. The phones connect to each other directly over Bluetooth or local wifi — no internet, no accounts, no lobby. Each phone only counts the hits it actually feels, so your opponent's clicks can't score for you. ALSO • Fairer height detection — tapping the phone to fake a big hop no longer works. Free play is still 2 minutes a day and covers every mode. Po!ng Unlimited unlocks all of it, forever.
