What's new • Discover — browse public events and groups without an account, as a list or on a map. • Private conversations — a one-to-one chat can now be closed to the server that carries it. • Mentions — @-mention friends in a post, in the comments answering it, and in chat. • Typing indicators, and polls get the room they need. • Morning recap — the night before, handed back to you. • Explorer — your map records the places you have actually been. • Groups — admins choose whether a group carries a gallery and a file library. Public groups get a shareable link and can pick the address it uses, and picture-clock albums are now called Moments. • Posts — change who can see a post from its long-press menu. • Friends — decide what someone who is not a friend yet may see and do, replace a leaked invite link from settings, and hand a friend's pin to whichever map app you navigate with. • Location privacy — where you sleep is its own context, not a public place. • Albums open on their cover, with one page for every "see all". • Calendar sync can take your planned events and leave the spontaneous ones out. Fixed • A screen opened with no history gets a back button that works. • The bottom bar comes back to rest on the tab you switch to. • The home feed notices when somebody else posts. • A front + back picture pair opens as a pair in the feed's viewer. • A dismissed sheet stays dismissed. • A pasted link with no scheme is tappable. • A group row showing a message opens that conversation.

What is new - Share your location for a set time, to your usual audience or just the people you pick. - The map has one location control, and a single filter for narrowing what you see. - Groups have their own shareable link, and can ask people to knock before they walk in. - When an event ends, Woosh offers to add the pictures you took to its album. The events list can also show only events that have pictures. - Add an email address as a second way to be reached. Optional, and you can clear it any time. - The explorer trail and event discovery both load much faster. Fixed - Woosh now tells you exactly what leaves your phone before it uses your contacts, and asks first. Only phone numbers are sent, and only an irreversible code is kept. - Map pins gather into groups when you zoom out instead of piling up, and the heading cone holds still when your phone does. - Zooming from the edge of the map follows your finger. - The full-screen viewer zooms toward your fingers, and a portrait clip fills the screen when you turn the phone. - Location fixes you could not physically have travelled to are discarded, so your pin stops jumping.

WHAT'S NEW Shouts and events are now one thing. A shout keeps its own name and emoji as it becomes an event, can be set for later tonight instead of only right now, and can reach someone who isn't on Woosh yet. You can edit your own shout, change who sees it, or delete it — and a shout that has passed offers to run again. Groups and events have a file library. Shared files and music live on the group page, and anything new shows up in the feed. Ask the conversation a question as a poll. Pictures you add to your gallery now post as an update, so your friends actually see them. Albums open as cover tiles, and picture previews fill the screen instead of staying thumbnails. Tap anyone to open their full profile. Your own pin on the map shows which way you're facing. A public event anchors its block on home, with your own plan inside it. Videos play a lighter version when your connection is slow. Creating an event now ends by helping you invite people, and after an event Woosh asks for your photos in the app rather than only by notification. Friends who haven't installed the app yet can be reached by text message — and you can switch that off in Settings whenever you like. FIXED The event screen no longer crashes when opened cold. Photos from your camera roll upload properly, and a picture that fails to send retries instead of going blank. Pinch-to-zoom in the avatar cropper follows your fingers. Private events keep their cover image out of link previews. Event hosts no longer collect phone numbers from guests they don't know. Blocking someone makes their invite links grant nothing, and hides them from your feed as well as their profile. German and Dutch no longer describe people with the wrong gender, or address one person as a group. The nearby list stops treating yesterday's location as news, and movement labels need real movement behind them. Holding a reaction shows who reacted. Zooming the map from the edge no longer gets cancelled part-way.
