AI-generated photos and videos are everywhere — in your feed, your messages, your news. Some are harmless fun. Some are built to deceive. Verdict tells you which is which, in seconds, right on your iPhone.

HOW CAN I TELL IF A PHOTO IS AI-GENERATED?
Open Verdict, pick the photo, and read the score. Verdict runs four independent forensic checks and combines them: a neural-network model trained to recognise generated imagery, sensor-noise analysis (real camera sensors leave a characteristic pattern that generators do not reproduce), Error Level Analysis of compression artefacts, and inspection of the file's metadata for camera make, model, lens and exposure.
CAN IT CHECK VIDEO TOO?
Yes. Most detectors stop at images. Verdict samples frames across the clip, runs the detection model on each one, and combines the per-frame results into a single verdict — with real frame-by-frame progress while it works.

HOW ACCURATE IS IT?
Verdict returns a probability, not a certainty. It is strongest on clearly synthetic imagery and on unmodified camera originals. Heavily processed phone photos — Night mode, Smart HDR, aggressive editing — and screenshots or re-compressed images carry less forensic signal, so borderline scores are more common there. That is why Verdict always shows you the score and the evidence rather than a bare label.

Analysis runs entirely on your device. Verdict has no servers, no account system and no analytics — there is nowhere for your photos to be sent, even if we wanted to send them.
