WHAT IT DOES • in-app launcher: works the second you first open phoneZero. your apps become a list of words. tap one, it opens. add apps from a built-in catalog or by URL scheme, drag to reorder. zero configuration required. • home screen widgets: two WidgetKit widgets put up to twelve of your apps on the home screen itself. add them to a Smart Stack for one swipeable carousel. the editor shows exactly which apps land on which widget. • calls, two ways: tap Call and the real Phone app opens, through a shortcut you make once in about thirty seconds. prefer to stay put? turn on the in-app dialer for a real keypad with named favorites. type or tap, and iOS places the call. • themes: the launcher, dialer, and widgets wear exactly two colors: mono (white on black), phosphor (terminal green), paper (ink on warm white), klein (white on international klein blue). pick one and everything follows it. • custom apps: anything with a URL scheme can join the list. the editor previews what will open and lets you test it before adding. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO: READ THIS FIRST phoneZero does not block, hide, lock, or limit any app. blocker apps exist, but a block you can switch off is a speed bump, not a wall. phoneZero makes a different bet: if you want to open something, you will open it. what changes is everything around the decision: no grid, no icons, no badges, no colors competing for your eye, no feed underneath. the pull is gone; the possibility stays. that is the design, not a limitation we forgot to mention. two smaller honesty notes: iOS gives no public way to open Camera or Phone directly, so both go through a one-time Shortcut you create (the app walks you through it in about thirty seconds). if you would rather not, the in-app dialer setting gives you a keypad instead. PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE phoneZero collects nothing. no analytics, no account, no servers, no network requests. your app list, theme, and favorites live on your device and nowhere else. it works in airplane mode because there is nothing to phone home to.
