Filmator is a Mac app that helps you bring the JPEGs from RAW+JPEG pairs managed in Lightroom Classic into your work.
The light you saw. The image you meant.
Filmator is a Mac app for turning camera-rendered JPEGs—images shaped by your intent and the look created by your camera—into finished photographs. Select photos from a Lightroom Classic catalog, make essential adjustments, and export.
At the moment you press the shutter, light, intent, and your camera’s rendering are recorded together in a JPEG. Filmator is built around the expression already captured in that single image. The “Film” in Filmator reflects our belief that, in the digital age, each image can be treated like a frame of film: something to be finished into a photograph that stands on its own.
■ Choose in Lightroom Classic. Export in Filmator.
In Lightroom Classic, import and organize your photos, then set the crop and orientation. When you open that catalog in Filmator, its folders and collections appear just as they do in Lightroom Classic. Export directly from the camera-rendered JPEG. Filmator opens catalogs in read-only mode and never alters your original photo files or catalog.
■ Browse
• Browse Lightroom Classic catalogs (.lrcat) in read-only mode. Filmator never writes to your catalog.
• Filter in Filmator using the flags, star ratings, and color labels you set in Lightroom Classic.
• Supports JPEGs in RAW+JPEG pairs, standalone JPEG and HEIF photos, and JPEGs embedded in iPhone DNG files. RAW processing and PNG/TIFF files are not supported.
■ Edit
• Work directly from camera-rendered JPEGs, retaining the color and character created by your camera—including FUJIFILM Film Simulations.
• Automatically applies the crop, straightening, orientation, and Upright settings you chose in Lightroom Classic to the JPEG.
• Make essential adjustments to white balance, tone, and saturation with fast, Core Image-powered live previews and high-quality image processing.
■ Export
• Export selected photos from Browse or Edit. The same simple flow works whether you are exporting one image or many.
• Customize the destination, filename, quality and size, watermark, metadata, and more.
• All features work entirely offline. Filmator never sends your photos or catalog data anywhere.
■ Pricing
Export up to 100 photos in total for free, with no feature restrictions. Filmator Pro is a one-time in-app purchase that removes the export limit.
■ Privacy
Filmator never transmits the contents of your photo files, the results of your edits, filenames, or catalog data—including folders, collections, ratings, capture dates, and camera models—to any server. It does not use third-party tracking SDKs.
