Haven't set a name yet? Nudge asks for your first name when you share a countdown, join one or send a nudge, so your friends know it's you. Friends who never set a name no longer show up as "You" in the app. Nudge now lets you know when a new version is out. One tap takes you to the App Store, and updating is always up to you. Your profile panel now shows how many of your nudges your friends opened. Profile setup is quicker, and a few small bugs are fixed.

Secret Space, now with a lock Some countdowns are nobody's business. Lock your Secret Space with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode, so a borrowed phone stays just that. It's off until you switch it on in Settings, under Privacy & Safety. Messages that vanish Planning a surprise party, a proposal, a secret trip? Create the countdown inside your Secret Space and turn on "Messages disappear after 1 hour". Nudges, replies and reactions vanish an hour after they're sent, for everyone on this version, and the countdown itself goes a day after the big day. Photos you add stay put. The Countdown Wrap The big day is here. So how was the wait? Open the Wrap: how many days you counted, who nudged the most, the busiest day, the loudest reaction and your photos, all in one card made for sharing. A recap worth opening Your yearly recap now maps out all twelve months, crowns your busiest one and puts your best streak right next to the one you're on. Open it with a mate to find out who reaches out more. Tags in replies, links that work Type @ in a reply to tag a friend. They get a notification that takes them straight to the conversation. Links in nudges and replies now open with a tap. Fixed and polished Joining a countdown now shows the conversation it already had, once the person who shared it has this update. Removing someone no longer sets off an alert on their side, and inviting them back brings the conversation back too. Notifications from a secret countdown no longer name it or show what was said. Tapping a notification takes you to the right nudge. Invite problems now say what actually went wrong. Streaks count right, even on the day the clocks change.
