Search your images Press ⌘F to search a folder by the words inside your images — exact text or by meaning — or by appearance, including similar faces. Results are ordered by relevance and stay in the toolbar until you clear them. Folders are now analyzed automatically when opened (switch it off in Settings ▸ Storage). Translations you can talk back to Hover any translation plate for a small bar: hear it read aloud, correct the wording, or dismiss that plate alone. Edits carry through to Copy image and Export as WebP, which now bake the translations into the picture. Manga and comics DotPeek now reads vertical Japanese and Chinese, so a manga page translates the way it's laid out: furigana ignored, and each translation reading down the column it replaces. Extract's layout grid keeps vertical columns vertical too. On macOS 15 the system can't tell where vertical lines sit, so the page is still translated but reads in a panel beside the image; on macOS 26 it's drawn in place, over the original. Cleaner overlays Rebuilt plate placement: correct coordinate space, rotation that follows the source line, smarter grouping per speech bubble, and a filter that drops noise instead of translating it. Extract from the Lens Drag over part of an image to copy its text straight to the clipboard. Batch rename and delete Select multiple thumbnails or rows (⌘A for all) to rename them together or move them to the Trash. Four languages DotPeek now speaks English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese — following macOS or your choice in Settings. Fixes Settings no longer opens on its own or refuses to close. The filmstrip resets to the start when you switch folders and recenters on a Similar-thumbnail jump. Double-clicking a list row selects it before opening the hero view. Clipboard capture and the "no matches" state render correctly.
