EGK LifeStats turns Malaysia's official mortality statistics into a personal health awareness tool. Instead of asking "how long will I live," it asks a more useful question: "what am I most at risk from, and what can I do about it?"
WHAT IT DOES
Select your age group, gender, ethnicity, and state to see the leading causes of death for people like you, based on data published by the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) in its annual "Statistics on Causes of Death" reports. Every figure shown links back to the specific DOSM release it came from, so you can verify it yourself.
For each cause, EGK LifeStats shows:
- Ranked risk breakdown with percentages and death counts where published
- A "What You Can Do" section covering risk factors, prevention steps, and screening advice aligned with Ministry of Health Malaysia guidance
- A historical trend chart so you can see how a cause has risen or fallen over time
- A shareable awareness card to help spread health literacy among friends and family

WHY THIS MATTERS
Malaysia's leading causes of death have shifted in recent years — pneumonia overtook ischaemic heart disease nationally for the first time in two decades, cancer deaths have nearly quadrupled since 2001, and risk factors vary meaningfully by age, ethnicity, and region. EGK LifeStats makes these patterns visible and actionable, rather than leaving them buried in government press releases.
DATA HONESTY
DOSM publishes cause-of-death statistics as separate breakdowns (by year, by sex, by ethnicity, by age group, by state) rather than one combined table. Where an exact match for your profile isn't publicly available, EGK LifeStats shows you the closest available figure and is upfront about it — no invented numbers, no false precision.
FREE VS PREMIUM

Premium (auto-renewing subscription, monthly or annual): unlimited lookups, state and district-level breakdowns, full historical trend charts, and an ad-free experience.
Subscriptions are auto-renewing. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the same price you originally agreed to unless changed. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your device after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
