Every encode runs on-device through Apple's own AVFoundation frameworks. ADAPTIVE STREAMING, DONE PROPERLY Build multi-variant ladders with independent resolution, bitrate and H.264 profile on every rung. Encode in H.264 or H.265 (HEVC), package as fMP4 or MPEG-TS. HLSForge writes the master playlist with correct CODECS, RESOLUTION, FRAME-RATE and measured BANDWIDTH tags, generates I-frame playlists for smooth scrubbing, and can add an audio-only rendition for constrained clients. Everything follows Apple's HLS Authoring Specification, so your export behaves the way players expect. LONG ENCODES THAT FINISH A long encode should never start over. If it's interrupted — the app quits, the encoder stops, the machine restarts — HLSForge picks the job back up from where it reached, not the beginning. Queue several encodes, leave them running, and pause or resume any at will.
