VoiceOver now keeps its place while a tool runs. In Traceroute you can now swipe through the hops while the trace goes on. Before, swipes did nothing until it ended. The Port Scanner keeps its summary in place during a scan, and a run started from a quick target moves VoiceOver to the Stop button instead of Back. Settings now shows your device's name with its model code, such as iPhone 16e (iPhone17,5). The Port Scanner now waits 2 seconds for each port by default, and always at least 2 seconds on your own network, where iOS may need a second try to reach a port. Closed ports there no longer show as filtered. On a Mac, the Send Feedback email now keeps its line breaks. Thank you again to the AppleVis community for reporting the Traceroute problem and suggesting the model code.

The Checkup now recognizes a VPN that handles only your DNS, such as the web protection in a security app or Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 app. It asks your DNS server the way your other apps do, its report says that a VPN is on, and its advice fits. Before, it could say your DNS server was not answering while websites opened normally. Settings now names your device, such as iPhone 16e, instead of showing an internal model code, and the Languages row is now called Language. Thank you to the AppleVis community for reporting all three.

Radien Checkup, new in Radien Pro. One run checks your Wi-Fi, router, internet, DNS and website access, then tells you in plain words what works, what does not, and what to try. Share the report with or without your IP addresses. A new Home. It opens on your connection, the Checkup, six tools and the new "What is my IP?" screen, which is free and shows your public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, ready to copy. Tools and Settings now have tabs of their own. More for free. Every Options sheet and the app icon picker now open for everyone, with a lock only on the values that need Radien Pro. Network Details shows your Wi-Fi's security type, and Ping's graph starts at zero. More accurate results. When your iPhone cannot send a probe, Ping and Traceroute say so instead of showing timeouts; a site that leaves out part of its certificate chain is no longer called untrusted; and DNS Lookup no longer loses records when a retry fails. Better with VoiceOver: the Port Scanner's start screen, Network Details and every locked value now read as they should. And a malformed certificate or a reset connection can no longer close the app.

Your public IP, first. Network Details now shows your public address above the local one, marked as the sheet's key fact. Truer DNS answers. DNS Lookup accepts a reply only when it answers the question that was asked, asks the classic way when a large answer is lost on the way, and tells you when a resolver, often a VPN's, drops big answers, so you can pick another server in Lookup Options. Honest TLS states. The inspector now tells apart on, off, declined by the server, and could not check, reads answers that arrive in several pieces, and no longer crashes on a cut-off alert. More address ranges. The Subnet Calculator and IP Converter know eight more special-purpose ranges in both IP families and never call a reserved address public. No phantom router. The Router shortcut leaves on cellular, where there is no router to name, and returns with Wi-Fi. And every tool stops its work the moment you clear it, not only the display.

Every screen now works at the largest text sizes. Set Larger Text as high as you like: Radien changes its layout instead of cutting words. A host field grows to fit its font and its button moves above it, result rows put a value under its title rather than squeezing it into a column, the 32 bits of an IP address take one octet per row where each bit is big enough to tap, and the home card puts your status, address and router on lines of their own. Options sheets, help sheets and Network Details follow the same rule, in all nine languages. Nothing changes at the default text size.

Clearer answers across every tool. DNS Lookup now lists any record type that did not answer, so a missing section is never mistaken for "no records". Port Scanner separates a probe that could not be sent from a filtered port, and its verdict says exactly how much of the scan it rests on: complete, stopped at 40 of 78, or no answer at all. TLS Inspector keeps the port in your recent targets, accepts IPv6 addresses in brackets, and reports HSTS only when it could actually be checked. Network Details finds your public IP even behind VPNs that filter by name, and always shows the current network's facts. The Subnet Calculator accepts /0 and tells you when a prefix is out of range. Also new: a run ends as soon as you leave its screen, saving battery and traffic. The first probe to a device on your own network explains the local network permission, and if that permission is off, Radien says so. The Radien Pro screen shows only your store's real price. Favorites tell you when they are full, and an icon change that iOS refuses is reported. All in nine languages.

Multi Ping's saved groups learned to explain themselves. A reader wrote that renaming a group was impossible - in truth it existed all along, hidden behind a touch-and-hold gesture nobody could find. A feature nobody can find is missing in every way that matters, so a small hint now sits under the groups, and the info sheet explains the part you could not guess: a group saves exactly the hosts on screen. Radien Pro can now be bought straight from the App Store. If you meet the purple Radien Pro card in search results or on the product page, tapping it opens the app with the purchase sheet ready - and if you already own Pro, the card stays out of your way. Plus small wording refinements across the app, in all nine languages.

On cellular, Network Details now answers more: Radio: which technology is actually carrying your data. The status bar says "5G" for both kinds; Radien tells you whether it is standalone (SA) or non-standalone (NSA, a 5G radio on an LTE core), or LTE, or older. NAT64: whether your carrier runs an IPv6-only network and translates IPv4 through it, and at which prefix. If you ever wondered why cellular shows no IPv4 address the way Wi-Fi does, this row is the answer. The sheet itself got more honest. It shows only the rows your connection can answer, so no more dashes for Wi-Fi facts while on cellular. On a point-to-point cellular link the Router row now says so instead of showing your own address. And if the network changes while the sheet is open, every fact is re-fetched; previously the public IP could keep showing the old network's address. IP Converter: pasting an address with a /prefix now says the prefix was ignored, and a bare prefix like 64:ff9b::/96 no longer reports a phantom embedded 0.0.0.0.

Multi Ping now saves groups. Name a set of hosts, then load it again with one tap — your home network, the office, a handful of servers. A group can hold fewer than four hosts, and the number on it says how many, so a tap never surprises you. Network Details now names your access point: the MAC address of the Wi-Fi radio you are actually connected to, and who made it. Useful in a house with more than one access point, since roaming changes it. The lookup is entirely offline — the vendor database ships inside the app, so the address is never sent anywhere. The live status card now carries its connection state as a coloured border and a soft wash, so the answer arrives before you read a word. And a Personal Hotspot is now named as one instead of being called plain Wi-Fi. Also fixed: an ordinary home network could be labelled "metered" for no reason. iOS reports that flag for the whole network path, and Wi-Fi Assist briefly puts cellular into it. Radien now describes the network rather than the momentary path, and Network Details states the answer outright.

Fixed: a name lookup can no longer hang a run. If a resolver stops answering, on a VPN for example, Radien now gives up after five seconds and tells you which failure it was, instead of leaving the screen frozen with no way to stop it. Ping, Multi Ping and Traceroute now show "Resolving…" while they wait, so a slow lookup no longer looks like a freeze. "Name lookup timed out" is a separate message from "Could not resolve host", because they are different problems and the difference is often the whole diagnosis. Multi Ping rows now name the failure instead of showing a dash. Also fixed: a host that never replies is no longer graded as a poor connection. Plenty of hosts ignore ping on purpose, and blaming your network was the wrong answer.

Fixed: your Wi-Fi network name now appears every time you open Network Details. Until now it showed only on the run where you first granted location permission, and turned into a dash on every launch after that. The location permission request is translated as well, so it now appears in your language instead of English.

Radien now correctly lists all nine of its languages on the App Store: English, Chinese (Simplified), Japanese, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Korean and Italian. You could always switch between them inside the app; now the store page says so too. The app itself is unchanged.

Radien 1.2 is the accessibility update: the honest network toolbox, now for your ears too. • Full VoiceOver support: every tool works end to end.
