Tap. Rise. Glide. Survive. You are one small shiny fish, 5,000 metres from home. A tap sends you up. Letting go lets you sink. That is the entire control scheme — and it is the only one you will need. Everything else is in the water: coral corridors with one gap, drifting jellyfish that stun you cold, and sea urchins that end the run the instant you touch them. AN ENDLESS SWIMMER YOU CAN ACTUALLY FINISH Most one-tap arcade games just speed up until you lose. Shiny Fish has an ending. The water never gets faster — 5,000 metres is roughly half an hour of unbroken swimming, and almost nobody makes it on the first try. Reach it and you get a homecoming, with every friend who was waiting for you. THE DESCENT • 0–1,000 m — sunlit shallows. Learn the rhythm. • 1,000–2,000 m — twilight. The light drains away. • 2,000–4,800 m — the abyss. Total darkness, and this is where the sea urchins live. • 4,800–5,000 m — you rise. The blue comes back. Almost home. THE GOLDEN RAGE Catch a rage orb and you stop dodging. For a few hundred metres you smash straight through coral, jellyfish and urchins in a trail of gold. It only appears a handful of times per run — waste it and you swim the hard way. COLLECT EVERYTHING • 25 badges to unlock — distance, skill, persistence, and one secret badge nobody finds by accident • Coins scattered along the route, spent in the skin shop • 6 fish colours: Classic White, Coral Red, Sunshine Yellow, Seafoam Green, Ocean Blue, Deep Purple • Name your own fish — the game calls it by name • Your personal best follows you on every screen • Share your metres and dare a friend to beat them Pick it up in one second.
