Three islands, a ferry timetable and a pile of browser tabs that never quite becomes a plan. Seychelles Pro turns Seychelles research into a day-by-day schedule you can actually follow, and it keeps working when your phone has no signal.
WHAT IS IN IT
More than 140 places across Mahe, Praslin and La Digue, plus the day-trip islets and the one-resort islands. Granite beaches like Anse Source d'Argent, Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette, the Vallee de Mai, the Morne Seychellois trails, Creole takeaways, cafes, bakeries, markets and the Takamaka rum distillery. Almost every entry carries a written tip from real research: where the current turns nasty, which end of the beach hides the natural pool, when the bakery sells out.
A PLAN, NOT A LIST
Give the app your dates, how many of you are travelling, which islands you want and what you are into: beaches, snorkeling, hiking, food, culture, wildlife, photography, or doing nothing at all. It builds a day-by-day plan anchored to your arrival and departure at Mahe's international airport. Full days get a morning, an afternoon and a dinner, picked close to one another where the island allows. Arrival day stays light with one easy dinner near your stay. Transfer days start with the crossing, with its time from the timetable (Cat Cocos to Praslin about 75 minutes, on to La Digue about fifteen minutes) and that day's sailings where the timetable lists them. Departure day keeps to a short morning on Mahe and reminds you to head to the airport. Known closing days are respected, dangerous beaches carry a warning, guided treks and long hikes stay off travel days, and a boat trip gets a day of its own.
Then you change it. Add any place you can reach from that day's island, the boat trips that leave from it included, move an item to another time slot, swipe it away when the weather turns. Your itinerary lives on your device and saves itself.
OFFLINE WHERE IT COUNTS
Every place, island, ferry time and travel article ships inside the app, and so does the map. No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no tracking, and the app never asks for your location.
FLIGHT AND HOTEL SEARCH
From the trip screen you can open a search for return flights to Mahe from your home airport and for your stays, filled in with your dates and group size, and compare current prices on the booking site in your browser. These are affiliate links: we earn a commission if you book through them, at no extra cost to you. It is the only part of the app that goes online.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Ferries and inter-island flights, buses, bike hire and boat taxis, the travel authorization you need before departure, rupees and where cards work, the two monsoons and what they do to each coast, currents and reef safety, Creole language and Festival Kreol, and the reserves that brought the coco de mer and the paradise flycatcher back.
