The tip jar in Settings now works. If you feel like leaving a tip you can, and it still unlocks nothing — every hull, pilot, theme and app icon has been included since 3.0, and none of them are behind a purchase.

Meet the squadron. Nine pilots now fly the ship, each with fins you can tell apart mid-run, and every hull wears its pilot's colours. Space Shooter is now a paid app with everything included. All hulls, pilots, themes and app icons are unlocked for everyone — no ads, no subscription, nothing left to buy. Also in this update: a new app icon, a much smaller in-flight HUD, and encounter names now announced at the start of each wave.

Every tenth wave is now a boss fight. The Sector Warden holds the top of the field and strafes, and it will not leave until you break it — drop its armor below half and it enrages, switching to a spread blaster and moving faster. Destroy it and the escorts still inbound break off with you. Boss armor grows with every sector you clear. This update also fixes the pause and settings buttons, which were hard to see on the Daybreak theme and unreachable while paused.

Space Shooter 2.0 replaces endlessly faster waves with tactical, finite encounters. Face eight distinct enemy types, learn new movement and weapon patterns, defeat elite command ships for guaranteed power-ups, and take on the Ace Squadron. Enemy art now faces the action correctly, and the Daybreak theme has been refreshed for the new universe backgrounds.

The Mac edition now runs in a single proper window with New Run (⌘N) and Settings (⌘,) in the menu bar, quits when you close it, and adds arrow-key steering with Escape to pause. Settings copy now matches the platform you are playing on.

Fly through five evolving space sectors, face four detailed enemy aircraft types, and dodge enemies firing distinct weapons. This update also refreshes the Blue Orbit opening scene and expands the platform-specific GameWobble collection in Settings.

Bug fixes and improvements.
