Monitor every important link from the menu bar with live rates, smooth 15-minute history, multi-router support, and no account, cloud service, or tracking. Keep important network links visible without opening a monitoring dashboard. SNMP Taskbar is a native macOS menu bar utility that connects directly to the SNMPv2c or SNMPv3 routers, switches, and firewalls you configure. It reads standard 64-bit interface counters and turns them into live upload and download rates. ALWAYS-VISIBLE THROUGHPUT See compact upload and download rates in the menu bar, with fixed-width values that stay readable as traffic changes. As you monitor more interfaces, the display automatically steps down to a more compact tier, or set a fixed density yourself. LIVE HISTORY, YOUR RANGE Hover over the menu bar item for a smooth 15-minute scrolling graph, or open the detail window and choose a range from 15 minutes up to 7 days for current, peak, average, and total transferred values. Export any interface's history as CSV or its graph as a PNG image, and optionally keep history saved between launches. MULTIPLE DEVICES AND INTERFACES Monitor any number of SNMPv2c or SNMPv3 devices. Discover interfaces — including link status and description — choose the links that matter, set friendly names and icons, reorder them, or keep lower-priority interfaces in the detail window only. Adding a recognized platform (MikroTik, Ubiquiti, Cisco, pfSense/OPNsense) can suggest interface names automatically. SNMPv3 AUTHENTICATION AND ENCRYPTION Add a username with an authentication password and, optionally, a privacy (encryption) password for devices that require SNMPv3. Every secret — SNMPv2c community strings and SNMPv3 passwords alike — is stored in the macOS Keychain, never in plain text. CONTROLS FOR REAL NETWORKS - Invert upload and download direction per interface. - Choose a smoothing window from 1 to 60 seconds. - Display rates as Mbps, Kbps, Gbps, MB/s, KB/s, or GB/s. - Use a linear or logarithmic history scale. - Set optional local traffic-threshold notifications. - Launch at login and choose whether the app appears in the Dock. PRIVATE BY DESIGN SNMP Taskbar has no account, cloud service, analytics, advertising, or tracking. Router settings remain on your Mac, and monitoring traffic goes only to the devices you configure. REQUIREMENTS - macOS 15 or later - An SNMPv2c- or SNMPv3-enabled network device - Network access to UDP port 161 - Permission to monitor the configured device
