BE Composer is a writing tool for musicians and student who want to understand the choices they're making. Put down a chord and it shows you where that chord actually wants to go, ranked by how often the move gets used — with the reasoning in plain English underneath. You're not guessing. You're learning the language while you write.
Tap a suggestion to hear it before you commit. Hold it to lock it in. Keep going, and the tune builds itself in front of you.
SEE IT AND HEAR IT
Every chord shows its voicing on a piano keyboard, note for note — exactly what you're hearing, not an approximation. A guitar shape sits alongside as a visual reference. A real sampled piano plays the chords and a real electric bass takes the roots underneath, so a progression sounds like music instead of a computer.
READ IT LIKE A CHART
Flip to the lead sheet and the whole tune becomes a chord chart you can read at arm's length — the kind you'd put on a music stand. Type new chords straight into it, mark your sections like rehearsal letters, and watch a playback line sweep the bars as it plays. Export it as a PDF chart, or send a song as a link that opens straight into the app on someone else's phone.
SHAPE THE SOUND
Set the spice from Pop to Bebop and every suggestion and voicing rethinks itself. Slip passing chords in between what you've already written. Change any chord's bass note for an inversion or a slash chord. Set how long each chord holds. Play the whole thing back at any tempo, with a click if you want one — or start from any chord in the middle.
Your songs save to a library you can organize into playlists, like sets.
