VETERAN OWNERS - PLEASE READ - Your current, power and Wh/km readings will be LOWER in this version, often about half under load. This is a correction, not a fault. WheelLife was showing motor (phase) current. It now shows the battery current your wheel reports. - The current tile shows a dash for the first seconds after connecting, until the wheel has sent real readings. - Wheels whose frames do not carry battery current keep the previous reading. BEFORE YOU RIDE - NEW: if Bluetooth, Location or Notifications are off, WheelLife tells you when you open the app, with one tap to fix each. It comes back on the next open until everything a ride needs is on. - The app now tells "Location Services are off" apart from "permission denied". RIDES - A paused ride survives closing the app. Open WheelLife again and the same ride is still there, paused. - "Not counted" now says WHY a ride was not counted, instead of always saying "no wheel data". - A long disconnect in the middle of a ride no longer throws the whole ride away. The part your wheel did not travel is left out and the rest is judged. - BATT USED now counts what a charger put back mid-ride, and long rides show a RECHARGES row. - A wheel spinning in the air can no longer set your max speed when GPS cannot judge it. - A ride the app ends by itself is saved from 1 km. A ride you end with Stop is saved from 50 m, as before. MAP - NEW: Charge spots. Long-press the Ride map to pin a charger with a name and a note. Turn the Chargers layer on or off in Layers. COMMUNITY - SEASONS: Season 1, "First Light", starts 2026-10-01. Levels and ranks reset each season on a 50-level ladder. - NEW: a Progression screen shows every rank, what it takes and what it unlocks. - Territory by rider now has Week, Month, Year and All time. - NEW: an Inbox button in the Community header and on your profile. - Profile photos and name styles now show on every ride page. - The Night Owl badge now counts rides that start or end between 20:00 and 06:00. - Sign in with Apple and Google. - The wheel leaderboard opens on All wheels, sorted A-Z. - After you send a comment, the text field clears. APPLE WATCH AND WIDGET - NEW: a Horn / Beep button on the watch for Kingsong, Begode and Veteran. - NEW setting: open the watch app when you open WheelLife on your phone. Off by default. - The watch shows NO LINK when it stops hearing from your phone, instead of a frozen reading. - Kingsong: the watch shows LIMITED TO when the wheel is holding you back. - NEW: a home-screen widget with a Start Ride button and your turf count. WHEELS - Inmotion V13: per-cell battery voltages. - NEW setting: "Allow wheel settings changes". Turn it off and WheelLife will never write a setting to your wheel. - Video overlay: battery and current gauges, and a choice of gauge set. Found a problem? Settings > Report a problem.

VETERAN OWNERS — PLEASE READ, THIS ONE MATTERS - We found a Veteran whose duty-cycle (PWM) reading was always 0%, even at 102 km/h. The app was reading duty from the wrong place in a frame layout we had never decoded, and because the number looked valid, THE CUTOUT ALARM NEVER FIRED on that wheel. - WheelLife now reads duty only from frame layouts it has actually measured. If your wheel sends one we do not recognise yet, the duty gauge will show NOTHING instead of a number. - So: if your duty reading has disappeared in this build, that is the fix working, not a new bug. It means we would rather show you nothing than a number we cannot stand behind - especially one an alarm depends on. - Twelve wheels in the fleet send layouts we have not decoded, so this will affect some of you. We are working on decoding them; most of them do carry a real duty figure and will get it back. - Please tell us your wheel model and firmware if your duty reading vanished. STRAVA SEGMENTS - The Ride map no longer shows the two Strava error banners. The segments you have ridden just fill in quietly over a few days. - NEW PLACE TO RECONNECT: if WheelLife needs permission to read your activities, Settings > Strava now offers "Reconnect for segments". It only appears if your connection genuinely lacks that permission. - Your STARRED Strava segments are unaffected. TURF - NEW: a MINE pill on the Turf board shows only your own turf - your club's, or your own cells if you are in no club. Tap it again to see everyone. - It works zoomed out too, not just close in. If you hold cells somewhere a rival holds more, they still show as yours. - If nothing is in view it tells you which: "None of your turf is in view" versus "You haven't claimed any turf yet".
